A look at the pieces we love making most. From custom ramen bowls to our signature Green Celadon dinnerware, these are the creations that define Studio Mudlife.

This is what it's all about for us. Seeing our handmade ramen bowl, crafted with care in our studio, being used to enjoy a delicious meal. This one features our popular Shino glaze.

Our spoon rests are always in high demand. This overhead shot shows the beautiful variety of our studio-mixed glazes, including the drippy rutile and earthy shino finishes. Each one is a small piece of functional art for your kitchen.

This is us, Mahanth and Shreya, in our happy place. We love the messy, joyful process of creating together, and this photo captures the fun we have bringing our ceramic ideas to life.

The magic moment. After two long days of waiting for the kiln to cool, we finally get to see the results. Watch as Mahanth unloads a fresh batch of our Green Celadon dinnerware.

Our complete Green Celadon dinner set. This three-piece place setting, including a dinner plate, side plate, and bowl, is perfect for elevating your everyday meals. We can create sets like this in any of our custom glazes.

We love experimenting with glazes, and this mug is a perfect example. A beautiful pastel Chun glaze with a running Rutile rim creates these gorgeous, drippy effects that make each mug truly one of a kind.

Ever wonder what it takes to make 90 pieces of pottery? This video takes you through our entire production cycle, from wedging the clay and throwing on the wheel to the meticulous glazing and loading of the kiln.

We designed our Party Ashtray to be both smart and stylish. The lid flips to become a second ashtray, perfect for sharing, and it includes a built-in rest. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

About Featured

Because we mix all our own glazes and fire in small batches, every piece has its own personality. You might see slight shifts in the drips or the tones of our Chun and Rutile finishes, which is exactly why no two mugs or plates are identical. When you order from us, you are getting something that spent days being shaped, trimmed, and kiln-fired right here in our Bengaluru studio.

Behind the Glaze

We are glaze nerds at heart. Whether it is the opalescent blue of our Chun glaze or the deep, multi-tonal drips of Rutile, we mix everything in-house. This means the finish on your dinnerware is unique to our studio and cannot be replicated by factory production. Opening the kiln after a long firing is our favorite—and most nerve-wracking—part of the job.

Practical, Daily Use

We know ceramics need to be functional, not just pretty. All our stoneware is high-fired, making it fully microwave and dishwasher safe. Whether you are using our 600ml ramen bowls for a late-night meal or reaching for a spoon rest after cooking, these pieces are built to handle heat and daily wear without chipping.

Our Process

Everything you see starts on the wheel. Even our 'accessories' like party ashtrays and spoon rests are hand-trimmed and sanded at the base to ensure they don't scratch your tables. Because we are a small-batch studio, we often manage our production in cycles—sometimes pushing out 90 pieces in two weeks—to ensure everything gets the attention it needs. If you see a finish you love in our gallery, we can usually recreate it for your custom set, whether you need a few mugs for your home or a bulk order for a café.

We are Shreya and Mahanth, the two halves of Studio Mudlife. What started as Mahanth's pottery obsession turned into a shared dream of building a safe, inclusive studio space. We spend our days with clay on our hands, making functional pieces that we hope bring warmth to your home.
