Our Featured Interior Design Projects in Bengaluru
A selection of our best work that showcases how we transform spaces into homes with soul. Explore our favorite projects where natural textures meet modern functionality.
This video shows the transformation of a standard balcony into a cozy, laid-back retreat. I skipped formal seating for a custom, curved micro-topped bench in a warm terracotta tone. With custom terrazzo flooring, whimsical fairy lights, and layered earthy textures, it’s now the perfect spot to unwind.
As you enter this living area, an exposed brick wall creates a warm, earthy backdrop. I placed a large arched mirror to reflect natural light, making the space feel larger and connected to the outdoors. The custom reversible cane swing, organic-shaped tables, and rich textures come together to create a grounded yet elegant feel.
This dining room embodies a Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, celebrating natural imperfection. The walls are finished with a soft limewash, creating a beautiful backdrop for the custom live-edge dining table. The crockery console features unique shutters made from banana fibre, and concrete cane pendants add warmth and texture.
This sliding door is more than just a functional element; it's a piece of art. When open, it reveals the bedroom corridor, and when closed, it becomes a stunning focal point in the living area. The abstract, geometric design in soft pastels complements the room's color palette and adds a touch of modern creativity.
To honor the client's cultural heritage, I designed this dining area with traditional elements like carved wooden columns and a 'katte' bench seat. The dining table features classic leg details, paired with simple cane chairs. A small window mirror on the wall adds depth, reflecting the traditional swing and creating a space rich with history and warmth.
This kitchen is designed to feel both classic and soulful. I chose olive green for the cabinets, paired with brass handles and hand-painted backsplash tiles for a personal touch. An archway from the dining area frames the view, while a smaller arched niche inside provides a charming display space, connecting the rooms beautifully.
This kids' room blends playful charm with long-lasting function. A custom platform bed with built-in storage sits beside a concrete-finished step for play. The hand-painted abstract mural adds a splash of color, while arched details on the wardrobe and terrazzo accents create a space that is fun, earthy, and can evolve as the child grows.
In this master bedroom, I focused on creating a warm, sophisticated retreat. The bed, with its teak veneer and rattan details, is the centerpiece. I designed a custom ladder storage unit that doubles as a unique decor element. The interplay of wood, rattan, and concrete textures results in a balanced and inviting environment.
This bathroom renovation shows how color and pattern can completely transform a small space. I used a playful mix of pink and grey tiles, with a bold geometric pattern for the floor and accent wall. Sleek brass fixtures and a modern black sink provide a sophisticated contrast, creating a bathroom that is both fun and stylish.
This living room was designed for simplicity and comfort, with an open view of a lush backyard. I used brick tiles to cover the entire wall behind the sofa, creating an earthy, rustic feel. The wall also serves as a personal gallery for the client's travel photos, turning a simple design element into a meaningful part of their home.
About Featured
We believe a home should feel grounded, not just decorated. That is why you will see micro-concrete, exposed brick, and rattan in these projects. These are materials that age beautifully. Whether we are redesigning a balcony or re-planning a kitchen layout, we focus on tactile experiences that make a house feel like a living, breathing space.
Our Design Philosophy
At Studio 3d+1, we do not follow trends. Instead, we chase 'Kanasu', the Kannada word for dream, to build spaces that feel authentic to the people who live in them. This portfolio highlights the projects that define our approach to Wabi-Sabi aesthetics and warm minimalism.
Material-First Interiors
In projects like 'Mridang', we moved away from standard laminate finishes to embrace raw textures. You will notice the olive green cabinets in the kitchen, paired with hand-painted backsplash tiles and brass handles, creating a space that is as soulful as it is functional. We use lime wash on walls to bring depth and micro-concrete for that smooth, earthy finish that feels cool underfoot.
Transforming Spaces
'The Backyard House' is one of our favorite examples of rethinking a layout. We replaced standard doors with arched sliders to open up the view, and used brick tiles behind the sofa to turn a blank wall into a personal gallery for the client's travel photos.
What We Focus On
- Tactile Textures: Cane, wood, terracotta, and micro-concrete to create warmth.
- Customization: From hand-painted murals to live-edge tables, we build furniture that fits your routine.
- Functionality: Smart storage and clever space planning, like our utility units and foyer re-designs.
Whether you are looking for a bedroom retreat that feels like a hug or a kitchen designed for connection, we handle the entire process. We balance structural changes with aesthetic details, ensuring your home works as hard as it looks.
