Design Features and Publications
I am grateful to have my work recognized by publications like Architectural Digest, Good Homes, and India Today Home. These features showcase the projects where our vision of organic, earthy living truly resonated with a wider audience.
I was so excited to have my 'Mridang' project featured in the print issue of Good Homes Magazine. This shot from the feature shows the view from the corridor into the living room, highlighting the arched entryway and brick details.
It was an honor to have my first feature in Architectural Digest for 'The Backyard House' project. This video shows snippets from the online article, which highlighted the home's design as a green sanctuary.
A shot from the India Today Home feature of my 'Under the Sun' project. This image showcases the dining area with its vintage-style crockery unit and beautiful wicker pendant lights.
Another image from the India Today Home feature, showing the family room's custom concrete seating and earthy, boho decor. This space was designed to be a cozy and inviting retreat.
About As Seen In
Getting featured in magazines like Architectural Digest or Good Homes isn't just about the final photograph. For me, it is validation that a home’s character matters as much as its layout. Whether we are designing the breezy 'Backyard House' or the earthy 'Mridang' residence, the goal is to create spaces that feel timeless and deeply personal, ensuring they remain livable long after the cameras have left.
While magazine features are a proud milestone for Studio 3d+1, the real value lies in the process that led us there. Each project showcased here—like 'Under the Sun' in Devanahalli—began as a conversation about a client's 'Kanasu' (dream) and evolved into a space defined by natural materials, Wabi-Sabi influences, and thoughtful architectural details.
Why Design Features Matter
We treat every residential project with the same level of rigorous detail as a featured editorial. When you see our work in publications, you are looking at the result of:
- Material Honesty: We prioritize textures like micro-concrete, cane, and lime wash. These materials age gracefully, which is why they appear frequently in our published works.
- Intentional Layouts: Features often highlight our structural changes, such as the arched entryways or 'katte' (bench) seating we incorporate to improve flow and functionality in Bangalore apartments.
- Collaborative Styling: We work closely with stylists and photographers to capture the essence of a home, but the underlying design is always rooted in the client's actual lifestyle—not just for show.
Designing for Real Life
Publications often focus on the 'hero' shots of a living room or a master bedroom. However, our work extends to every corner of a home. If you are looking for an interior designer in Bangalore who balances aesthetic appeal with daily utility, you will find that our approach remains consistent, whether or not a camera crew is present. We bring the same dedication to custom furniture design, smart storage solutions, and kitchen renovations that you see in these recognized projects.
