We design public and institutional spaces that balance monumentality with human-centric functionality, creating civic architecture that serves the community with dignity.

This animated diagram breaks down the core concepts behind our design for the Telangana High Court. It visually explains our approach to zoning, circulation for different user groups, and the integration of green buffer zones, making the complex logic of the design clear and accessible.

Our design for the Telangana High Court places the building within a lush, park-like setting. This creates a space that feels dignified without being intimidating, where lawyers, judges, and the public can interact in a calm and contemplative environment.

This perspective of the Telangana High Court shows the main courtyard, designed as a green lung for the complex. The architecture provides a monumental frame, but the human-scaled landscape with its trees and pathways makes the space feel open and accessible.

The grand colonnade of the Telangana High Court creates a powerful sense of entry while providing shaded walkways. The design balances classical monumentality with modern minimalism, referencing traditional arched forms in a contemporary stone facade.

For the Mada Streets at the Tirumala Temple, one of India's holiest sites, our design process is shown through these diagrams. We mapped out how to organize the circumambulatory path and surrounding infrastructure to accommodate large crowds and sacred rituals in a functional and respectful manner.

This physical model of the Telangana High Court site shows our master planning approach. We carefully studied the topography and existing features, using the model to test how the building volumes, residential zones, and water bodies would interact to create a cohesive and harmonious campus.

This rendering of the Telangana High Court emphasizes the connection between the building and the landscape. The foreground deck and water feature create a serene public space, while the transparent ground floor invites the public in, reflecting the values of democracy and justice.

This video montage presents our competition entry for the Telangana High Court. It showcases the project's key features, from the cantilevered structures that touch the earth lightly to the grand, light-filled interior courtyards, embodying our vision of timeless, honest, and iconic architecture.

The interior of our Telangana High Court proposal was designed to be efficient, orderly, and filled with natural light. The coffered ceiling and clean lines create a sense of dignity, while the clear signage and open layout ensure the space is easy to navigate for the public.

This view highlights the pedestrian-focused design of the Telangana High Court campus. We created layered landscapes with sunken pathways and green ramps to separate vehicular and pedestrian traffic, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for everyone visiting the court.

About Civic Architecture for the Future

Our approach to civic infrastructure is rooted in logical, human-centric design. In our work for the Telangana High Court, we moved away from intimidating monumentality, instead using staggered layouts and green buffers to create a space that balances necessary security with public transparency and accessibility.
