Our Philosophy and Process in Architectural Design
We do not chase trends. Our work is driven by research, debate, and a commitment to honest, logical problem-solving that prioritizes function over form.
What are our inspirations? In this interview, our principal architect Diwakar Chintala discusses how inspiration comes from everywhere: from history, from nature's perfect systems, and most importantly, from the aspirations of the people we design for.
How would we describe our design philosophy? It is a process of finding the simplest and most honest solutions to problems. In this clip, Diwakar Chintala explains that for us, beauty is merely a byproduct of this honest, logical process.
How has our journey been so far? This clip reflects on our studio's journey. The joy of conceiving ideas, working with a team, and seeing clients enjoy the final space is what drives us every day.
This animated diagram shows the conceptual development of an urban forest project. It illustrates how we layer commercial spaces, water bodies, and public plazas to create a harmonious coexistence of nature and city life in a dense urban landscape.
This video presents "Urban Oasis," our concept for a democratic public space. The design features minimalist architectural elements set within a dense, forest-like landscape with a flowing stream, creating a place for families to spend an entire day.
Our principal architect, Diwakar Chintala, speaking on a panel at the Annual NASA Event. The discussion focused on our core belief that good intentions, simplicity, and honesty are the most important parameters of good design.
Speaking to students at the Ernad Knowledge City, we shared our design philosophy. We believe in rationalizing design through logic and purpose, moving beyond subjective notions of beauty to focus on creating honest and functional spaces.
This rendering of "The Minarets," our urban oasis concept, shows a building with a mirrored facade that completely reflects the surrounding forest. The architecture becomes almost invisible, allowing the landscape to be the dominant experience.
In our "Urban Oasis" concept, the minimalist, reflective buildings are discrete objects within the landscape. The design prioritizes the creation of a "people space," where visitors can relax and interact in a setting that feels like a natural forest.
The landscape of our "Urban Oasis" includes features like grass-covered terraced seating. These elements are integrated directly into the terrain, providing informal places for people to sit and enjoy the serene, forest-like environment.
About Our Philosophy and Process
When we start a project, we do not begin with a sketch. We begin with a debate. Whether it is an urban forest in Hyderabad or a commercial tech campus, we spend weeks researching the site’s topography and the client's core aspirations. We strip away the non-essential until we find a logic that justifies every square foot, ensuring the final structure is not just a building, but a functional, timeless solution.
Architecture is not about decoration. It is about creating a dialogue between the user and the space. For us, the process is linear and rigid: analyze the site, identify the problem, and apply rational solutions. When we design a façade or an urban plaza, we ask: does this serve the user, or just the eye? This skepticism is our greatest tool. From our studio in Indiranagar and Vijayawada, we guide projects from master planning to final execution, ensuring that the integrity of the initial concept survives the construction phase. We value technical details like the porous ground plane and the cantilever not because they look good, but because they facilitate movement and thermal comfort. Our work in commercial and residential sectors proves that sustainable design is not an add-on, but a foundational requirement. We do not chase trends. We build structures that age well and remain relevant, prioritizing the human experience over visual spectacle. Our architectural master planning focuses on connecting the building to its environment, ensuring that each space—be it a private villa or a public institutional building—feels like it naturally belongs to its landscape.
