How I Approach Heritage
- I follow a simple mantra: reuse, retrofit, reimagine.
- Placemaking matters - I want spaces to mean something to the people who use them.
- I try to use jugaad (resourceful fixes) and local materials, always looking for clever ways to make things last.
- The patina, the cracks, the quirks - I keep them. That’s the soul of the building.
What I Do
- Meticulous restoration of timber, stone, plasters, and those quirky Art Deco details.
- Fixing up facades, terrazzo floors, and making sure the structure is strong for the next 100 years.
- Adaptive reuse of colonial bungalows and havelis - turning them into homes, offices, or whatever the new need is.
- Skillfully blending modern services like lighting and HVAC into the old framework, so you get all the comfort without losing the vibe.
My Work
- From havelis in busy cities to quiet hill bungalows, old schools, and even industrial sites, I’ve worked on all kinds.
- Sometimes, I go beyond the project, offering digital DIY guides and free advice clinics so you can look after your heritage spot yourself.

My Story
Old buildings have always spoken to me – not literally, but you know, they’ve got stories. That’s why I started ATA, with my small gang in Delhi. We’re all about mixing old soul with new ideas. We work with clients, engineers, and locals, bouncing ideas off each other. Our Jugaadopolis thing keeps us sharp, sharing and learning with students. Every job, whether it’s reviving a Darbargarh or jazzing up an attic, is a full-on adventure for us.
