We take our easels out of the studio and into the city. Join our guided outdoor sessions at iconic spots like Jantar Mantar and the Craft Museum to sketch, paint, and learn under the open sky.

About Art Beyond the Studio: Outdoor Sessions & Events

Most art classes keep you indoors, but nature is often the best teacher. During our six-hour outdoor workshops, you won't just follow a tutorial; you’ll learn how to observe changing light, handle architectural perspective in real-time, and capture the energy of a live environment. We handle the logistical heavy lifting, including site arrangements and equipment, so you can focus entirely on your sketchbook.

When you step out of the studio and into a place like the Crafts Museum or Jantar Mantar, your entire perspective shifts. It is no longer about copying a reference photo; it is about translating the noise, light, and history of a space onto your canvas. Our outdoor modules are designed to bridge that gap for both beginners and experienced artists.

What We Focus On

  • Architectural Sketching: We teach you how to map complex structures without getting lost in the details.
  • Perspective & Scale: Learn how to measure proportions against the vastness of the real world, a skill that translates back to studio work perfectly.
  • Light & Shadow: You will capture the way the sun moves across your subject, forcing you to paint faster and make decisive creative choices.
  • Travel Essentials: We provide drawing boards and paper, but we also show you how to pack light with your own mediums—whether you prefer watercolors, acrylics, or charcoal.

Who Should Join?

These sessions are for anyone who feels stuck in a studio slump or simply wants to connect with a community of fellow artists. You do not need to be a professional to join; you just need to be willing to sit on a bench, watch the world, and draw what you see. We keep our batch sizes manageable so you always get hands-on feedback from our instructors, ensuring that you leave with a finished piece—or at least a very strong start—by the time the day ends.
