We believe inspiration is everywhere, so we take our learning into the real world. From sketching at Lodhi Garden to attending live art exhibitions, these sessions help you train your eyes to see as an artist.

We believe learning isn't confined to four walls. Here are our students with their watercolor landscapes after a productive outdoor sketching session at Lodhi Garden. This is how we learn to see the world as artists.

Our students and their families during a group visit to the Olympiart 2024 exhibition. Exposing students to the work of professional artists is a great source of inspiration and learning.

We had the opportunity to watch a live watercolor demonstration by the renowned artist Amit Kapoor. Seeing a master at work is an invaluable experience for our students.

About Learning Beyond the Classroom

When we step out of our Sector 37 studio for sketching at locations like Lodhi Garden or to attend art expos, we are doing more than just changing the scenery. These sessions force you to handle natural lighting, changing weather, and real-world perspectives that you cannot replicate on a flat sheet of paper. You get direct feedback while you work, learning to make quick decisions about composition and scale right on the spot.

Why We Leave the Studio

Art is not just about technique found in books. It is about how you interpret the world around you. By moving our sessions outdoors, we challenge you to apply your drawing skills in unpredictable environments. Whether we are working on perspective studies at historic sites or analyzing color palettes at an exhibition like Olympiart, these experiences build the observation skills that are critical for your creative aptitude tests.

What You Gain from These Sessions

  • Real-World Application: You move beyond theoretical drawing to capturing complex structures, vegetation, and crowds under varying light conditions.
  • Exposure to Masters: We facilitate visits to professional exhibitions where you see how working artists handle their craft. Watching a live watercolor demonstration by a master provides technical insights that no textbook can offer.
  • Community Learning: You work alongside other students, sharing observations and critique in a supportive, live environment. This is where you learn to defend your creative choices and appreciate the diverse approaches of your peers.

Who Should Join

These sessions are designed for students preparing for NID, NIFT, or B.Arch entrance exams who need to sharpen their 'seeing' skills. They are also open to adult hobbyists looking for a fresh, hands-on way to explore fine arts. We keep our group sizes small to ensure you get personalized attention even when we are working on location.
