The Craft: From Raw Stone to Art
See how raw stone slabs turn into precise, custom art pieces. My process mixes modern CNC technology with traditional hand-carving to bring your unique design to life.
Every detail is important. The process starts with a precise 3D design on the computer, which guides the CNC machine and ensures the final carved piece matches the vision perfectly.
A look inside my workshop where our CNC machines are at work. While machines help with speed and precision, stone carving is still a time-consuming art that depends on the design's complexity and the stone's hardness.
Carving granite is particularly challenging due to its hardness. It requires specialized diamond-tipped tools and a constant flow of water to cool the bit, as seen here on our CNC machine.
This video shows the scale of our work, from CNC carving to using a crane for heavy lifting and installation. We manage the entire process to ensure every piece is handled with care.
This video shows the meticulous process of brass inlay work on marble. My artisans carefully place each metal piece by hand, a skill that adds a touch of luxury and elegance to the stone.
Here, you can see the delicate process of setting mother of pearl inlay into a marble slab. Each piece is cut and placed by hand to create a beautiful floral pattern.
A closer look at the mother of pearl inlay process. The contrast between the iridescent shell and the smooth marble creates a truly luxurious finish.
We are proud to be a 'Made in India' brand, combining local craftsmanship with global design standards. Here you can see both the hands-on artistry and the client collaboration that goes into our work.
This intricately carved pillar base is a result of 10 years of excellence and dedication from my team. The detail and depth in the carving showcase the high level of skill we bring to every project.
Once the art is created, we ensure it reaches you safely. Here, my team is carefully packing a large, finished stone panel in a custom wooden crate for secure transportation.
About The Craft: From Raw Stone to Art
Before we start cutting any stone, we sit down with a 3D model. You will see exactly how the final piece will look, including the scale and detail, because stone is not like other materials—there is no undo button once the chisel hits the rock. This preview phase ensures we are both on the same page regarding the design before the fabrication begins.
Every project starts with a conversation and a 3D sketch. Whether you have a photo from Pinterest or a rough napkin sketch, we turn that into a precise 3D model. This ensures you know exactly what is happening before we even touch the stone.
Tech Meets Tradition
We use CNC stone carving technology to handle the heavy lifting. This gives us that perfect geometric precision for things like parametric stone facades or intricate jaali work. But the machine is only the start. Every piece then goes to my artisans who hand-finish the details, polishing the edges and adding the final, organic touch that only a human hand can provide.
The Reality of Hard Materials
Working with hard materials like granite or sandstone means there is a lot of cooling and tool calibration involved. This is why you see water running over our machines in the photos—it keeps the stone cool and prevents cracks. This natural stone fabrication process requires patience, but the result is a piece built to last for generations, not just years.
Getting It To You
People often worry about shipping heavy stone. We build custom wooden crates for every single order, whether it is headed to a local site in Delhi NCR or across the country to Tamil Nadu. We manage the packing and logistics, so your art arrives in perfect shape, ready for installation.
Stoneartwala
I’m Abhishek, and I believe every stone has a story waiting to be carved out. I left my 9-to-5 life because I wanted to create things that actually last, combining modern tech with age-old craftsmanship.
