In Vastu, mirrors are very important for energy. Here, I explain a custom mirror with a parametric jaali frame. This piece is 1400mm by 1000mm and shows how we can create complex, perforated designs in natural stone.

This video explains the process of making a 3D stone jaali. Unlike a 2D jaali which is visible from both sides, a 3D jaali has a projected design on one side. We can create these panels in sandstone, marble, or even granite.

A closer look at the creation of my backlit rustic mirror. You can see the artisan carefully hand-chiseling the edges to achieve that organic shape before the final piece is installed and illuminated.
