Fitness is not about being perfect; it is about starting where you are. Whether you are returning to movement after a break or entering a gym for the first time, our New Friends Colony studio is designed to help you build a solid, safe foundation.

My first tip for any beginner is to start small. It's better to begin with lighter weights and shorter sessions to build a solid foundation. Fitness is a marathon, not a sprint.

A proper warm-up is non-negotiable. Just 5 to 10 minutes of dynamic stretching can prevent injuries and significantly improve your performance during the workout.

I always emphasize form over weight. Mastering good posture and technique first is the safest and most effective way to get stronger and avoid injury.

Recovery is just as important as the workout itself. Staying hydrated and getting enough rest allows your muscles to repair and grow stronger.

This video showcases a gentle yet effective core routine perfect for new moms or anyone rebuilding their foundational strength. It includes cat-cow stretches, dead bugs, and glute bridges.

The single-leg deadlift with a kettlebell is an excellent exercise for moms looking to rebuild strength. It targets the core, improves balance, and strengthens the posterior chain.

About Fitness for Every Body

If you are just starting, do not rush to heavy weights. We focus on mastering your posture first—like practicing a single-leg deadlift with just your body weight—because learning to move well is the only way to build lasting strength without risking injury in your first few weeks.

Most gyms feel like they are built only for people who are already fit. We designed Stay Fit to be the opposite.

Foundations Over Ego

When you walk into our New Friends Colony studio, you will not find us pushing you to hit personal records on day one. We focus on functional movement. If your back hurts from sitting at a desk all day or your core feels weak after pregnancy, we start there. We use techniques like cat-cow stretches and dead bugs to reactivate your muscles before we even think about adding resistance.

Postpartum & Injury Recovery

We see many clients who have been told to 'just rest' after an injury or childbirth, but we believe in guided movement to heal. Our core recovery programs are slow and intentional. You will not find high-impact jumping or aggressive heavy lifting here until your body is ready. We focus on regaining balance and strength through controlled, low-impact exercises that actually help you feel like yourself again.

How to Start

If you are intimidated, you are in the right place.

  • Warm-up: Never skip it. Even 5 minutes of dynamic movement tells your nervous system it is time to work, preventing the stiffness that ruins the next day.
  • Hydration: Your muscles need water to repair. Drink up throughout the session.
  • Consistency: It is better to show up for 20 minutes three times a week than to kill yourself for two hours once and never come back.

We provide the equipment and the space, but you bring the intent. If you can commit to showing up, we will handle the rest.
