This acrylic portrait of my nephew Vishakh was a labor of love. After taking a break for an eye surgery, I came back to it and repainted the face to get it just right. The vibrant colors and smooth blending are achievable with acrylics on a stretched canvas.6
My award-winning acrylic portrait of the beloved Kannada actors, the late Dr. Rajkumar and his son, the late Puneeth Rajkumar. This painting was a tribute to their legacy and I was honored that it won first prize in a competition at the Lalbagh flower show.
Here I am, adding the final touches to the double portrait of Dr. Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. Working on a large canvas with acrylics allows for building up layers to create realistic skin tones and expressions.
