About In the Press: Awards & Recognition
It is deeply humbling to see the seven years of craftsmanship dedicated to Haveli Dharampura acknowledged not just as a restoration, but as a cultural benchmark. When media outlets and architectural bodies validate these long-term preservation efforts, it reaffirms that our methodology of blending traditional Lakhori brickwork with modern hospitality standards resonates beyond our studio walls.
Our practice is built on the belief that architecture is a form of spatial storytelling. Whether we are navigating the intricate challenges of adaptive reuse in Old Delhi or defining the geometry of a modern residence, the objective remains constant: to instill soul and character into every square foot.
Validating Our Methodology
The recognition we have received serves as an external confirmation of our internal rigors. When the World Architecture Community recognized the Swatantrata Residence with an award in their 50th cycle, it highlighted the importance of our focus on contemporary residential design that prioritizes both form and functionality. Similarly, the features in SOH Magazine and The Economic Times for our work on Haveli Dharampura validate our technical approach to heritage conservation.
Bridging History and Modernity
Restoration is not merely about maintenance; it is about continuity. By retaining original architectural elements like arches and courtyards, and integrating modern infrastructure, we ensure these buildings remain functional for today's users. Our work on projects such as the Golden Haveli demonstrates how traditional masonry, such as the use of Lakhori bricks and lime plaster, can coexist with contemporary luxury.
Community and Ideas
Beyond built projects, we are committed to the architectural dialogue. Serving as a jury member for the FOAID VOX Architecture Ideas Competition allows us to engage with the next generation of designers. It is a privilege to contribute to a platform that celebrates the evolution of design, ensuring that the principles of thoughtful spatial planning continue to inform the future of our urban landscapes.
