I believe the eyes tell the story, so I spend hours getting the light, the pupil, and the tears just right. Whether it's a gift or a memory, I capture it in graphite.

This video shows the progress on a commissioned portrait. You can see my technique for shading the skin and adding details to the eyes to create a lifelike and soulful expression.
