When you choose a photo for me to sketch, clarity is the most important factor. High-resolution images allow me to capture the fine textures of skin, hair, and clothing that make a portrait look truly realistic. If you have a few options in mind, feel free to send them to me; I can advise you on which specific photo will translate best into the charcoal or graphite medium for the most lifelike result.
How My Process Works
I believe in simple work done with full heart. Once you share a clear photograph, I begin the process of replicating it on professional-grade 200 GSM acid-free drawing paper. I do not use digital shortcuts. Whether it is a single individual, a couple, or a family, I use a combination of graphite and charcoal pencils to build the depth, light, and shadow that brings the subject to life.
Quality & Materials
I use high-quality materials to ensure your portrait lasts. Every piece is finished with a fixative spray to prevent smudging or fading over time. Please note that I ship all my artwork unframed. This is intentional, as it allows you to choose a frame that matches your home decor and keeps the artwork safe from glass breakage during transit across India.
The Final Touch
When the sketch is complete, I carefully roll it in acid-free tissue paper and place it inside a sturdy, crush-proof PVC tube. This ensures the drawing reaches you in perfect condition, ready for you to frame or gift. If you are commissioning a family or couple portrait, I can also include a handwritten dedication—a name or a date—to make the piece even more personal. My work is not just about lines on paper; it is about keeping a memory alive, piece by piece.
