A Day in the Life: Real Powerlifting & Training
Behind the competition medals and the records is the daily grind. This is what real training looks like at 46, fueled by consistency and a refusal to look for shortcuts.
While my family is on vacation, I am on a mission. Passion doesn't take a break. This is the dedication it takes to be a competitive athlete.
Your fitness journey isn't about what you lose, it's about what you gain: strength, power, resilience, and confidence. Shifting your focus from losing weight to gaining strength makes the process enjoyable.
Lean muscle mass is what will save your life. It is metabolically crucial for longevity, a healthy metabolism, and overall function. The foundation of a healthy life is building and maintaining muscle.
Muscle is medicine. It is your greatest defense against aging. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest and the more resilient your body becomes.
Build machines, not mannequins. This is a look at a 125 kg deadlift, showing that my focus is on building a strong, capable body, not just looking a certain way.
A mental note for every athlete: you earn your trophies in practice. You just pick them up at competitions. The real work is done in the gym, day in and day out.
When you are on a deload week but your deload squat is still 95 kg. This is what consistent training and building a strong base looks like.
About this collection
Forget the perfect gym reels you see on social media. My training is about showing up when you do not want to, managing deload weeks, and training like an athlete even when nobody is watching. If you are tired of the guesswork and are ready to actually see your lifts progress, this is what that commitment looks like.
The Reality of Strength Training
Most people think fitness is about jumping around until they are exhausted. They think 'toning' is a separate process from muscle building. It is not. As a national powerlifter, my day revolves around compound movements and a calorie deficit that fuels real performance. Whether I am squatting during a deload week or prepping for a meet, the philosophy remains the same: taqat aise hi nahi aati (strength does not come just like that).
Why I Focus on Muscle
At 46, my focus is not on looking like a mannequin; it is on building a machine. Muscle is medicine. It is the only thing that keeps your metabolism high and your bones strong as you age. When you see me in the gym, you are seeing a 125kg deadlift being built, not a quick aesthetic fix. I have been through the injuries, the plateaus, and the doubt. I teach women that powerlifting is not about becoming bulky; it is about becoming capable.
How I Coach
I bring this same 'no-nonsense' approach to my online coaching. You do not get recycled workout templates from me. You get:
- Technique Correction: We fix your squat, bench, and deadlift so you stay safe and strong.
- Nutrition Guidance: We look at your protein and macros based on your actual needs, not fads.
- Accountability: If you have an off day, I am the one reminding you that consistency matters more than motivation.
Stop wasting time on 'fitness activities' that do nothing for your strength. If you are serious about building a strong body and want to lift with confidence, I am here to get you there.
