I get asked a lot about durability, so here is the reality: I use special fabric paints that are designed to stay put. Once the paint sets and is heat-sealed, you can wash your garments normally. Whether you have an old denim jacket waiting for a refresh or a plain tote bag that needs some character, we can sit together and figure out a design that matches your vibe.
Why let your art sit on the wall when you can wear it? Fabric painting is one of my favorite ways to upcycle clothes or add a touch of personality to everyday items. You do not need to be an artist to have a custom piece. If you have an idea, a favorite character, or even just a color palette you love, we can make it work.
The Process
We start with a conversation. You tell me what you want to customize, whether it is a pair of denim jeans, a cotton tote, or a jacket. I check the fabric type to make sure it will hold the paint well, and then we discuss the design. You do not need a perfect sketch; I can take your rough ideas and turn them into a finished design.
Durability and Care
The biggest worry most people have is whether the paint will crack or fade. I use professional-grade fabric mediums and pigments that bond with the fibers. After the artwork is complete, I heat-set the design so it is permanent. You can wash these items at home, just keep the water temperature cool and turn the garment inside out to keep the colors bright.
