From majestic tigers to my students' favourite pets, I love capturing the spirit of the animal kingdom. Whether you want to learn to sketch fur or get a custom portrait, let's bring these creatures to life.

A pen and ink study of a tiger's face. The video shows the process from the initial sketch to the final detailed rendering, all done during an online session with students.

A young student proudly showing his pen rendering of lions and other animals. It's wonderful to see such passion for drawing wildlife at a young age.

A detailed pen and ink drawing of a rhinoceros by a young student. The intricate patterns and textures show a lot of patience and skill.

A beautiful watercolor painting of two horses, created by my student Myra. The soft washes of color and the gentle emotion between the animals are captured perfectly.

A charcoal sketch of a squirrel, focusing on the fluffy texture of its tail. This was a relaxing piece to draw, capturing a small moment from nature.

A colored pencil drawing of a pink flamingo. The artist has used multiple shades of pink, purple, and orange to create the beautiful feather textures.

A student showing his incredibly detailed colored pencil drawing of a macaw. The vibrant colors and the texture of the feathers are rendered with amazing skill.

About this collection

Whether we are working with white charcoal on black paper for that dramatic tiger gaze or layering watercolors for a soft equine portrait, the focus is always on the texture. If you are learning with me, we start by mapping out the anatomy before diving into the shading, so do not worry if you have never drawn an animal before.

Wildlife art requires patience, especially when you are trying to capture the intricate patterns of fur or feathers. In my online sessions, we break down animal anatomy into simple shapes first—circles for the head, lines for the limbs—so even beginners in Bengaluru and beyond can get it right.

For those taking classes

We cover various mediums. For students who love drama, white charcoal on black paper is a favourite for drawing big cats like tigers or lions. It really makes the eyes pop and brings the fur to life. If you prefer color, we use pencils or watercolours to study the vibrant feathers of macaws or flamingos. I believe art is about the process, not just the final frame, so we focus on having fun and enjoying the masti while we draw.

For custom commissions

If you have a favourite pet or a specific wildlife scene in mind, I can create a custom piece for you. I use professional-grade charcoal and graphite on acid-free paper, finishing each piece with a fixative spray to keep it smudge-free for years. Whether you want a charcoal portrait of your dog or a vibrant landscape for your living room, let us chat and bring it to life.
