A Journey of Art, Connection, and Healing

My studio isn't a place to learn perfect lines—it's a space where you can let go, play with colors, and find a little peace. Whether you're here to heal, learn, or just reconnect with yourself, come as you are.

This is the story of Jay, a student who is like a *sundar sa phool* (a beautiful flower) in my life. He cannot walk, talk, or hold a brush, but his paintings speak volumes. Watching him find his voice through colors is the real fruit of my life's work, *meri tapassya ka phal*. This is why I teach.

This is my brave student Anju, who discovered painting for the first time during her radiation therapy. Her courage to embrace a new hobby during such a challenging time is a true inspiration. Art became her companion for healing.

Friends finding joy and peace together in my studio. This picture says it all, "Art is therapeutic." It’s a simple truth I see every day as people take a break from their busy lives to connect with themselves and each other through painting.

It was a joy to bring a moment of calm and creativity to the team at Boston Consulting Group. We transformed their office into an art studio where they could relax, express themselves, and paint together. This is a glimpse into my expressive art therapy workshops for corporate wellness.

Listening to children describe their art is my favorite part of teaching. It’s not about drawing perfectly, but about the stories they imagine, like a grumpy Donald Duck or a magical chocolate garden. This is where true creativity blossoms.

My heart was so full when my student Sonam visited me after 24 years. Hearing her share how art has been a therapeutic part of her life since she was a little girl in my class reminds me of the deep, lasting bonds we create here.

We spent a very special day with the little bravehearts at Access Life, who are all battling cancer. For a few hours, they forgot their pain and just enjoyed making their own Ganesha idols from clay. Their smiles were the greatest blessing.

It is never too late to discover the artist within you. This gentleman found so much happiness in creating this beautiful winter scene. My classes for seniors are a wonderful way to learn a new skill, stay engaged, and create something you can be proud of.

About Featured

When you walk into my studio in Vile Parle, you won't find rigid rules or pressure to be perfect. We start every session with a simple chat, allowing you to settle in before picking up a brush, whether you're working with coffee, watercolors, or acrylics. It’s about how you feel while you create, not just what ends up on the canvas.

Art is a journey of self-discovery, not a race. Since I started teaching in 1988, my focus has always been on the process, not the product. My studio is a sanctuary for everyone, from absolute beginners who haven't held a brush since school, to individuals seeking a therapeutic outlet.

Why join a session?

We remove the fear of the blank canvas. Whether you are dealing with stress, looking for a hobby, or seeking a supportive community, you will find it here. I guide you, but you are always in control of your expression.

Who is this for?

  • Beginners: If you think you cannot draw, you are exactly who I want to meet. My classes are about exploring textures and colors, not about technical perfection.
  • Healing & Wellness: I have worked with cancer survivors, seniors, and anyone navigating a tough phase. Art provides a way to express things that words cannot.
  • Adaptive Needs: With techniques like dabbing and specialized tools, I ensure that those with mobility challenges can also find their voice in art. Like my student Jay, who finds his language through colors, we adapt to your unique needs.
  • Corporate Teams: We host sessions to help teams de-stress, bond, and unlock creativity through collective art creation.

What to expect

Every session is 2 hours of guided, relaxed creation. We provide all materials—canvases, paints, brushes, and everything else you need. You just show up, leave the world outside, and create.
