Art isn’t a competition, it’s a way to breathe. Whether you're a complete beginner or picking up a brush after years, come discover the joy of creating without judgment.

I believe every woman is an artist with a hidden talent waiting to be explored. This collage shows some of the amazing women who have joined my classes, many for the first time, and discovered their creative side.

Two friends enjoying an art session together. My studio is a place where you can relax, create, and connect with others. Here they are, proudly displaying the beautiful sunset painting they created.

A student beaming with pride as she holds up her delicate watercolor painting of two birds. Learning to use watercolors is a gentle and rewarding process, and her joy is the perfect result.

This student created a peaceful, dreamy forest scene with a cozy cabin. Her beautiful smile reflects the calm and soulful feeling that comes from getting lost in the world of painting.

My online art classes for elders and senior citizens are a joy to teach. This video shows how we connect from our homes to learn new watercolor techniques together. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn prove that creativity has no age limit.

This student is proudly holding his vibrant and expressive painting of a dog. Using bold colors and strokes, he truly captured a joyful spirit on the canvas. It’s wonderful to see students find their unique style.

A young artist with her stunning abstract painting of a dancer. The use of texture and bold shapes shows so much confidence and creativity. It is a joy to guide students as they bring their visions to life.

A glimpse into my art batches for adults and seniors at the Juhu studio. We explore everything from sketching to acrylics, and beginners are always welcome. It's a perfect way to develop a new hobby and connect with yourself.

This montage shows the variety of art we create in our workshops and classes. From painting landscapes on large canvases to fun group paint parties, there is always something new to learn and enjoy.

Have you ever thought about starting a new hobby, even if you feel you're older? You absolutely can! Art is for everyone, and I encourage you to join a class, let your creativity flow, and embrace the joy of making something beautiful.

About Art for Adults: A Path to Relaxation

When you walk into my studio in Vile Parle West, you don't need to bring anything except an open mind. We start with a friendly chat to help you settle in, and then we dive into whatever medium calls to you—be it coffee painting, sketching, or acrylics. You leave with your own creation and, hopefully, a little more peace of mind.

My art sessions for adults are designed for one simple purpose: to help you reconnect with yourself. Too many of us stop creating because we are told art is about being perfect. Here, we let go of that. Whether you are coming in to escape the stress of work or simply looking for a new hobby to fill your weekends, you will find a space that is quiet, supportive, and free of expectations.

What to Expect in Class

  • No Experience Needed: Most of my students walk in saying they haven't held a brush since school. That is perfectly fine. I guide you through techniques step-by-step, whether we are learning basic watercolor washes or the texture of acrylics.
  • All Materials Provided: You do not need to buy anything to start. I provide the canvas, paints, brushes, and the space to work. You just show up.
  • A Relaxed Pace: We are not in a race. If you want to spend two hours on a single sky painting, we do that. The goal is to get lost in the process, not to rush to a finish line.
  • A Social Space: My studio in Juhu is a place where you can meet others, have a laugh, and enjoy the calming act of creation. It is as much about the conversation and community as it is about the painting.

Whether you want to try fluid art, get messy with finger painting, or learn the subtle craft of coffee painting, my door is open. You come as you are, and we paint what feels right.

I'm Shefali. I’ve been teaching art since 1988, and honestly, it feels like yesterday. My students are my world, and my studio is where you can leave the pressure of 'perfection' at the door and just be yourself.
