Step into a century of rhythm and melody at our Safdarjung campus, where the past meets the future of Indian music.

A treasured moment from my history. This is the legendary Kishore Kumar ji performing live at a concert I organized at the IG Stadium in Delhi in 1986. My connection with the golden era of Bollywood runs deep.

A rare photograph of the iconic singer Kishore Kumar with my founder, Mr. Saini, in Shimla. This was taken after a successful show I organized, reflecting the personal bonds I've shared with these great artists.

Remembering the Ghazal King, Padma Bhushan Jagjit Singh Ji. Here he is seen with Shri B.R. Saini during one of his many visits to the institute.

A candid photo of Jagjit Singh ji in conversation at the institute. His association with the college was a source of great pride and inspiration for my students and faculty.

A heartwarming picture of Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and Shri B.R. Saini. These images are a testament to a friendship built on a mutual love for music.

A celebration with the legendary Jagjit Singh ji. He is seen here sharing a piece of cake, a memory of the warm and personal relationship he shared with the college.

Another moment from the celebration with Jagjit Singh ji, cutting a cake at the institute. These events were a regular part of his long and cherished association with me.

About Our Legacy: A Walk Through History

When you walk into our Safdarjung campus, you are not just entering a music school. You are stepping into a story that began in 1924. We maintain the same traditional baithak style where legends like Jagjit Singh ji once sat and performed, keeping that atmosphere alive for every new student.

For nearly a century, we have been a home for music in Delhi. Our journey started in 1924 with a simple mission: to share the joy of Indian classical music. Over the decades, we have hosted icons such as Kishore Kumar ji and Pt. Jasraj, building personal bonds that shaped our identity. You will see these rare photographs adorning our halls today. While we take pride in our history, we are a living, breathing institution. We bridge the gap between traditional Hindustani classical training and modern music production. In our Katharas studio, students work on the same equipment that professional artists use. Whether you are looking for vocal training, a Kathak class, or professional sound engineering courses, you are learning in a space that has been touched by some of the greatest voices in the country. Our focus remains on passing down this wisdom through our Prayag Sangeet Samiti curriculum and our industry-led dance workshops. Come be a part of a silsila that connects the legends of the past with the stars of the future.
