Student Success and Featured Artworks
A look at the growth, competition wins, and exam preparation happening at our studio. From school-level trophies to state board grade results, see the progress our students make.
I am so proud of my student, Saanvi Rane, a 7th grader who received an 'A' grade in her grade exam. Here she is receiving her certificate at our annual prize distribution ceremony.
This video gives a glimpse into one of our hands-on object drawing sessions. You can see students fully engaged in their work, preparing for their elementary grade exams with focus and creativity.
It's always a joy to see my students excel outside the classroom. Here is Ishan Sharma, a 9th-grade student, proudly holding his certificate for winning the 1st prize in his school's drawing competition.
This is Ishan, a 9th-grade student, with his completed object drawing. He used watercolours on paper to create this still life composition, showing great control over the medium.
A group photo of my talented students at our annual art exhibition and prize distribution program. Seeing them all together with their work displayed on the wall is the best part of my year.
Our online art classes are just as interactive and effective as our in-person sessions. Here's a screenshot from a Google Meet class where students are showing off their latest creations.
Even my youngest students achieve great things. This is 6-year-old Nataniya, who won 1st prize in a 2-minute instant painting competition at her school. Her confidence and speed are amazing.
This abstract 2D design was created by Anaya, an 8th-grade student, using poster colours. Her work demonstrates a strong understanding of colour theory and composition, key skills we focus on for exam preparation.
About Featured
In our exam prep sessions, we maintain strict focus to simulate the pressure of the Maharashtra State Board Grade Exams. We do not just teach art techniques, we practice under timed conditions with 1.5 to 2-hour mock tests, ensuring students are fully prepared for the actual board environment long before their exam date.
Whether your child is preparing for Elementary and Intermediate Grade Art Exams or looking to win school drawing competitions, the approach here is consistent: discipline, technique, and confidence. I run these sessions from my studio in Marol, but I also keep online batches on Google Meet for those who prefer learning from home.
For exam aspirants, we cover the core pillars required by the state board: Object Drawing, Memory Drawing, 2D Design, and Plane Geometry. We start with the basics, focusing on pencil sketching and grip, before transitioning to watercolors and poster colors. I demonstrate techniques live, and during in-person sessions, I provide rotational feedback by correcting lines and values directly on the student’s paper. This helps them understand exactly how to improve from a 'B' grade to an 'A'.
For younger students, the focus shifts to creative ideation. We break down complex figures into simple geometric shapes, making it easier for them to replicate and gain confidence. We celebrate every milestone, whether it is a school-level 1st prize or a certificate from a grade exam. My goal is simple: art karna should be a joy, not just another task to complete.
Saptarang Art Academy
I started teaching art in 2005 with one goal: to give children a space to explore their creativity. My studio in Marol is less of a classroom and more of a space where I watch students go from drawing their first simple sketches to winning competitive school awards.
