We believe landscape architecture acts as a foundation for social cohesion. We design resilient, open spaces like the traditional Gramam Pranganam that foster fitness, play, and daily gathering.

The crack of the bat on the cricket pitch is the sound of community at the Gora Dabkal ground. We designed the space to accommodate beloved local pastimes, ensuring the refurbished ground remains an indispensable part of life in the Worli Fishing Village.

Pure, uninhibited joy is the ultimate goal of a community park. Two young residents of the Worli Fishing Village relax on the new lawn, a simple pleasure made possible by revitalizing this essential public open space.

This conceptual rendering for a rural community center in Andhra Pradesh illustrates our vision for a 'Gramam Pranganam'. The open plaza is designed as a dynamic space for play, celebration, and public assembly, anchored by essential community infrastructure like water tanks.

Simple, durable seating elements provide places for rest and quiet observation along the walkway of the Gora Dabkal ground. We focus on creating functional, comfortable public furniture that encourages people to linger and enjoy the space.

A wide view of the Gora Dabkal ground shows its multi-use nature. While a game of cricket unfolds in the background, others find a quiet spot on the grass for conversation, demonstrating the landscape's ability to support diverse activities simultaneously.

Young cricketers make use of the pathway edge at the Worli ground. Our designs for public spaces are robust, anticipating how people will adapt them for play and social interaction in both planned and spontaneous ways.

The boundary wall of a public ground can become an informal social space. Here, residents of the Worli Fishing Village gather, framed by the vibrant colors of their homes, showing how landscape architecture integrates into the existing social fabric.

A lone walker enjoys the pathway at the Worli ground, with the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link in the distance. The design connects the local community space to the larger context of the city of Mumbai.

About Spaces for Community: Public Parks & Courtyards

A successful community space must survive its own popularity. At the Gora Dabkal ground in Worli, we balanced high-intensity needs like cricket pitches with quiet, shaded walking paths. This hybrid approach ensures the area remains durable under heavy footfall, providing a consistent space for fitness, leisure, and daily social life.
