Heritage restoration is truly a labour of love for us. Old buildings aren't just structures - they're living stories, full of memories and meaning. We believe in caring for them the way one would care for a sacred forest, making sure to preserve what matters and tread lightly.
What We Actually Do
- Bring back the original beauty of load-bearing stone masonry walls and intricate china mosaic floors.
- Breathe life into old Burma Teak roofs, fixing what’s needed but keeping their old charm intact.
- Carefully document every detail, so nothing gets lost in translation between past and present.
- Adapt these spaces for today - maybe that means a meditation pavilion in a courtyard, or adding modern comforts like AC without spoiling the vibe.
How We Work
- We dig deep into the history and construction of each place, using old-school methods and materials wherever possible.
- Every repair is hands-on - from matching wood for roof repairs to sanding down beams for that perfect finish.
- Often, we reuse salvaged materials - like taking wood from old ceilings and making it into new doors. That way, a piece of the past always stays in the building.
Why It’s Not Easy (But Worth It)
Old buildings have hidden surprises. Sometimes, there’s structural trouble you just can’t see at first. We solve these with a mix of tradition and smart engineering, always keeping the soul of the place alive.

My Story
We’re SAPA. You know, for us, design’s always been about more than just buildings. It’s that Devrai vibe—sacred forests, nature as family, not just resource. We took that spirit right to France, built a garden that kinda whispers to you, not shouts. Whether it’s using mud from the site for a new office or rescuing old timber for a door, we love keeping the old soul alive. Watching people use these spaces, that’s the real reward.
