Eco-Resilient Residential Architecture
Concept & Feasibility
- Topography study to minimize excavation and preserve existing flora.
- Sun-path and wind analysis for natural breezeways and courtyard positioning.
- Local soil testing to determine feasibility of mud-brick construction.
Detailed Engineering
- Structural drawings for filler slab roofing to reduce concrete volume.
- Design specifications for load-bearing stone and stabilized adobe walls.
- MEP layouts focused on rainwater harvesting and root-zone treatment systems.
- Fabrication details for insulated butterfly or cascading metal roofs.
Execution Support
- Comprehensive Good for Construction (GFC) drawings for civil, flooring, and joinery.
- Periodic site visits to supervise craftsmen on specialized mud-work and masonry.
- Coordination with vendors for eco-technologies like solar integration.
Commercial & Institutional Green Design
Master Planning
- Campus zoning to optimize movement across warehouses, offices, and canteens.
- Micro-climate creation using strategic water bodies and native planting belts.
Structural Design
- Large span Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) or hybrid steel-mud structures for column-free spaces.
- Optimization of north-lights and skylights to minimize daytime electricity consumption.
- Specifications for low-maintenance finishes like polished concrete and exposed brick.
Sustainability Integration
- Water positive system design utilizing ponds, swales, and contour trenches.
- Roof thermal insulation planning using PUF panels to prevent heat gain.
- Layout design for community breakout zones and interactive courtyards.
About Sustainable Architecture
We don’t just put up buildings. We look for soul in every project, drawing from our roots in India, where places like devrai (sacred forests) teach us that nature gives, but she also asks you to respect her limits. Our designs try to bring that same respect into modern spaces.
Resilience at the Heart
What we build needs to last - not just stand, but thrive alongside its surroundings. Our spaces are shaped to “bounce back” with nature. We don’t force a structure onto land. Instead, we work with what’s already there.
- Buildings hug the land’s contours, meaning less digging and less disruption.
- Big old Mango, Neem, and Tamarind trees? We design around them, not cut them down.
- Rainwater harvesting in architecture isn’t an afterthought. We use kunds (ponds) and rain gardens, so the land stays water-positive.
Spaces That Breathe
We love the pranganam (courtyard) concept. It’s not just tradition - it works. Courtyards pull in daylight, keep air moving, and bring people together. Features like breezeways and verandas help create climate-responsive building design and cut out the need for too many ACs.
Materials Matter
Mud bricks from the site itself keep things local and cut energy use. Low carbon construction methods like the filler slab system mean less concrete and steel. We salvage old Burma teak and other woods - reuse beats new every time.
Real-Life Impact
Ask us about the zero-footprint admin office in Karnataka or the Gramam Pranganam project. We let local tradition and nature shape every step.

My Story
We’re SAPA. You know, for us, design’s always been about more than just buildings. It’s that Devrai vibe—sacred forests, nature as family, not just resource. We took that spirit right to France, built a garden that kinda whispers to you, not shouts. Whether it’s using mud from the site for a new office or rescuing old timber for a door, we love keeping the old soul alive. Watching people use these spaces, that’s the real reward.
My Work
What We Do - We handle master planning, architecture, landscape, interiors, and heritage building restoration.
Rooted in Resilience - Our designs are all about sustainability and zero footprint architecture, inspired by Devrai inspired landscape.
Old Meets New - We blend traditional techniques with today’s needs—think mud brick construction, local materials, and a lot of heart.
Restoring With Care - When we restore, we keep the soul intact. Salvaged wood, skilled hands, every old story matters.
Spaces for Community - From community courtyard design to open grounds, our focus is always bringing people together.
