Hand-Painted Folk Art Jewellery Sets
Every necklace is a hand-painted canvas inspired by our rich folk art traditions. Discover wearable stories that are as light as they are colorful.
This rectangular pendant necklace is my tribute to the Kalighat and Jamini Roy style of painting. The piece depicts a festive scene with musicians, hand-drawn on a fabric base and framed in deep red. The set includes matching earrings, all crafted to be lightweight and culturally rich.
Inspired by the divine feminine, this 'Maa' necklace set is hand-painted on a fabric canvas. The design captures the serene yet powerful essence of Durga, set against a vibrant red and yellow background. It's a piece of spiritual art you can wear, paired with delicate matching earrings.
This set celebrates the simplicity and charm of Warli folk art. I hand-paint the traditional motifs, depicting scenes of tribal life, onto a bright pink fabric base. The necklace and matching earrings are incredibly light and tell a story of community and culture.
Showcasing two color variations of my Warli art necklace sets. Whether you prefer the classic black-on-white or the vibrant pink-and-red, each piece is hand-painted with care. This image shows how the same design can offer a different feel depending on the color palette.
A fusion of styles, this piece combines hand-painted Warli figures with a painted seashell centerpiece. The vibrant yellow and red fabrics create a cheerful backdrop for the tribal motifs and natural elements. The design is a playful mix of different textures and inspirations.
This hand-painted set is inspired by the 'Tree of Life' motif found in many folk traditions. I've used a bright yellow fabric base to make the intricate black line-work stand out. Tiny ghungroos add a delicate sound to this nature-inspired artisan jewelry set.
About Hand-Painted Folk Art Collection
I build these pendants on a stiffened mount-board base, so they stay rigid and show off the painting clearly, yet they weigh almost nothing around your neck. Even the large statement pieces are designed to be comfortable for all-day wear.
My hand-painted collection is all about bringing traditional Indian art into your daily wardrobe. Whether it is the intricate stick figures of Warli art, the storytelling of Pichwai, or the distinct lines of Jamini Roy, I paint every motif freehand onto the fabric.
I treat every piece like a miniature canvas. Once the acrylic paint dries, I apply a protective varnish to ensure the colours stay vibrant and the paint does not crack. Because I use cotton or linen fabric as the base, these sets have a soft, matte finish that feels different from standard metal or plastic jewellery.
How to Style These Pieces
- Casual Days: Pair the Warli or geometric sets with a plain kurta or a solid-coloured saree. The pop of colour creates a great contrast.
- Festive Looks: The larger, more detailed paintings like the Durga motifs work beautifully for Durga Puja or cultural gatherings.
- Adjustability: Every necklace comes with an adjustable cotton dori (cord) in red, black, or yellow. You can shorten it for a choker look or lengthen it to sit lower on your chest, depending on your neckline.
Care Instructions
Since these are fabric-based, please avoid wearing them in the rain or submerging them in water. To keep them looking fresh, store them in a dry pouch away from direct moisture, and they will last a long time.
