Beautiful, baked clay jewellery inspired by Indian folk art, handcrafted for a light and natural feel.

A glimpse into my hand-painted terracotta collection. This video shows the fine details on pieces like the feather pendant, a large mandala, and various floral designs. Each piece is shaped from clay and painted by hand, offering a different texture and feel from my fabric work.

Explore the vibrant colors of my terracotta jewelry. This video showcases a range of items, from small, colorful earrings to full necklace sets featuring owl and peacock motifs. Each piece is baked and then intricately painted, making them durable and unique works of art.

About Terracotta Collection

Since each piece is hand-sculpted from natural clay and baked, no two are ever identical. If you are picking a set, remember that the finish is matte and earthy, not glossy like machine-made plastic jewellery, so keep them in a dry place to ensure the hand-painted acrylics stay vibrant over time.

My terracotta work is a slow, tactile process. It starts with molding raw, natural clay into specific shapes, which are then kiln-fired until they are durable and hard. Only after this firing process do I begin the painting. I use high-quality acrylics to draw traditional motifs like Warli stick figures, intricate mandalas, or floral patterns inspired by Bengal’s traditional alpona art.

Because these are made of natural, baked clay, they are surprisingly breathable and lightweight compared to heavy metal sets. They are a great fit for anyone who likes their fashion to be eco-friendly and sustainable.

Styling tips:

  • Daily Wear: Keep it simple with smaller jhumkas or pendants in solid colors.
  • Festive Occasions: Go for the larger, multi-colored statement sets featuring peacock or floral motifs.
  • Maintenance: These pieces are sturdy, but treat them like ceramic. Keep them in a separate, dry pouch when not in use. Avoid wearing them while swimming or in heavy rain to protect the paint.

If you are planning to buy these for a festive giveaway or a bulk order, please reach out well in advance. Since everything is made from scratch, this gives me the necessary time for the clay to dry and fire perfectly before I hand-paint your specific design.
