Mindful Keynote Speaking and Media Appearances
I do not believe in lecturing from a distance. Whether on stage or air, I hold the space as a 'sootradhar'—a thread-holder—to weave stories that foster genuine connection and dialogue.
The radio studio has become a space for me to connect with fellow immigrants and create moments of peace. My journey as a host has shifted from impressing to connecting, from talking to listening, and using my voice to build community.
A conversation is about making the other person feel that they matter. Here I am during an interview on Red FM, practicing deep listening to help my guest, an accomplished interviewer himself, share his story in a new dimension.
The stage is a space where I can act as the 'sootradhar', the thread-holder, weaving stories together to connect with the hearts of the audience. Here, I was hosting and narrating a theatrical show, a role that reminds me of the importance of every part in creating a beautiful whole.
A childhood memory came to life when I met the actor who played Mani from the classic TV show 'Malgudi Days' at the Red FM studio. It was a joyful moment that reminded me of the power of stories to connect us across time and distance.
Sharing a laugh in the Red FM studio. These moments of genuine connection are what I cherish most, whether I am hosting a show or participating as a guest.
At the Growing Minds Conference in Canada, I was inspired by the focus on prevention and equipping children with tools for emotional regulation. It reaffirmed my commitment to bringing wellness to children and youth.
Attending the Strong Minds Strong Kids Growth Gala, an event celebrating 50 years of work in youth mental health. It was an honor to be in a room filled with people dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for the next generation.
About Speaking & Media Appearances
My approach to hosting or keynoting is rooted in the concept of being a thread-holder. I do not follow a rigid, pre-canned script because I prioritize responding to the energy in the room. This means I require a quick pre-event consultation to understand your specific audience needs, ensuring every story shared—whether about intercultural communication or mindful living—feels relevant, grounded, and deeply human.
When you invite me to speak or host, you are not just getting a facilitator; you are bringing in someone who views the stage or the microphone as a tool for bridge-building. My background in radio has taught me that the most powerful moments happen when you stop trying to impress and start trying to connect.
My Speaking Philosophy
- Deep Listening: I bring the same focus to a stage keynote that I bring to a radio interview. I listen to the room's mood and adjust accordingly.
- Experiential Storytelling: I do not rely on slides or corporate jargon. I use personal stories and metaphors to illustrate themes like resilience, the immigrant experience, and the joy of slow living.
- Interactive Engagement: Even in large settings, I incorporate elements of group reflection and Q&A to keep the dialogue active.
Areas of Focus
I frequently speak and facilitate at:
- Conferences & Events: Focusing on mental health, community building, and personal growth.
- Corporate & Educational Institutions: Delivering keynotes on intercultural communication, leadership for introverts, and the power of mindfulness.
- Media & Radio: As a host, I create a safe environment where guests open up and share their most authentic stories, making the listener feel like part of the conversation.
If you are looking for a speaker who values substance over style and connection over performance, let us talk. I am currently available for bookings in India and North America and would love to hear what you are planning.
Sailing Leaf
I am Manmeet, an ICF coach and radio host who believes the stage is just a place for deeper connection. I don't do corporate fluff or rehearsed speeches; I create spaces where stories are shared, listeners are held, and we all walk away feeling a little more human.
