I believe vulnerability is the thread that connects us all. Here are moments from my own journey—navigating life across cultures, from Delhi to Canada, and learning to hold the space for others to find their voice.

This photo was taken on my fifth anniversary of arriving in Canada. While I have not always felt at home, I celebrate this journey of growth, learning, and being pushed out of my comfort zone, which has allowed new parts of me to be revealed.

Celebrating eight years of Sailing Leaf, my solopreneur journey that has never felt lonely. The children, youth, and parents I have worked with have become my team, my ambassadors, and the current that keeps my mission sailing forward.

For years, this little plant showed no signs of flowering, but I kept watering it with faith. This morning, a pink bud appeared, reminding me that what is essential is often invisible to the eye, and that we must trust the process of growth.

I believe in the power of wondering, pondering, and reflecting in writing. Here I am with the book '365 Days of Wonder,' which inspired me to start a weekly writing reflection with my community to spark 'aha' moments and self-discovery.

Standing before this monument in Montreal, I was struck by a feeling of interconnectedness. A simple vacation involves the work of countless people, a humbling reminder of the oneness of our world and a reason for deep gratitude.

About My Reflections & Journey

I don't teach from a pedestal. I call myself a 'sootradhar'—a thread-holder. In my sessions, we don't just write; we unravel the knots of daily life. Whether you are feeling stuck in your creative work or just looking for a space to be heard, my approach is to ask the right questions until you find the answers within yourself.

My journey as a solopreneur and facilitator has been about trusting the process. Eight years ago, I started Sailing Leaf with a simple belief: everyone deserves a safe space to be seen and heard. This wasn't about teaching grammar or chasing awards. It was about creating an emotionally safe harbor where participants could drop the masks they wear in their daily lives.

My path from Delhi to Canada has been the biggest catalyst for this work. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, forcing me to confront my own vulnerability as an immigrant and an introvert. I learned that growth isn't a straight line; it is more like that little plant I kept watering for years—invisible progress happening beneath the surface until the day it finally blossoms.

How We Work Together

Whether you are joining a virtual creative writing course or an in-person corporate workshop, the methodology remains the same:

  • Connection First: We build trust before we dive into content.
  • Experiential Learning: We use storytelling, 'Brain Games', and reflection instead of standard lectures.
  • Small, Intimate Groups: We keep batches small (often capped at 6 for courses) so everyone gets personalized attention.

I treat my work as a 'sootradhar'—simply connecting the pearls. I provide the writing prompts, the tools, and the safe environment, but the wisdom you uncover is entirely yours. If you are looking for a space to slow down, explore your inner thoughts through journaling, or simply find your authentic self, let's connect and see how we can start that journey.

I am Manmeet, and I have spent the last eight years listening—to myself and to the people in my circles. I am just as likely to be found chatting in a quiet corner as I am facilitating a workshop. If you are looking for a space to slow down and find your voice, I am here to hold the thread for you.
