Online

Sailing Leaf

We run small, relaxed writing workshops for kids, teens, and adults where you use writing to explore your thoughts, build confidence, and support emotional wellness, not to learn grammar or chase awards.

About Creative & Expressive Writing Workshops

Writing, for me, is a way to dig deep and figure out who we really are. I’m not here to teach perfect grammar or push you to write a bestseller. Instead, I want you (or your child) to use writing as a tool for self-discovery, healing, and feeling confident about your own words.

What Happens in the Workshop

I create a chill, non-judgy space online - the kind where you can show up as yourself. Think playful group storytelling sessions, laughter, and honest chats. I’m more like a sootradhar (thread-holder) than a strict teacher. We connect first, content comes after. There’s no pressure to get things ‘right’ - just exploring and seeing what shows up.

  • Mindful writing activities for all ages, from 8 to adult
  • Reflection, sharing, and peer learning
  • Emotional wellness through writing, especially for teens and adults battling anxiety or self-doubt

Who Can Join

Kids 8+, teens, adults - anyone who wants to connect with themselves or just try something new. If you’ve ever thought, "I can’t write," this is your spot. We keep sessions small, so you’re actually heard.

Programs for All Ages

Kids dive into fun stuff like ‘Chasing Fireflies’ and ‘Poetree’, discovering confidence and imagination. Teens get to open up with ‘Unearth’ and ‘The Poetry Door’, working through emotions and finding their voice. Adults hang out in the ‘Enso Writing Circle’ - no experience needed, just a willingness to show up.

For Parents

Some youth workshops include parent sessions. We talk about letting go of perfectionism and raising creative, expressive children. If you want a more open, creative vibe at home, let’s chat.

My Story

So, I’m that person at a party who’s missing from the crowd, chatting quietly in a corner. Big groups drain me, but one-on-one? That’s my jam. Moving to Canada wasn’t on my wishlist, but it shook things up for me—radio shows, poetry slams, finally ticking off that writing course at UofT. I used to think being vulnerable was weakness, but turns out, it’s where real growth happens. Dreams sneak up and surprise you.

My Work

Creative Writing & Thinking Workshops - I run playful writing workshops for kids, teens, adults, and even parents—raising creative kids starts with us.

Writing for Healing & Self-Discovery - My sessions use writing as a way to heal and find your voice. It’s about the journey, not perfection.

Intimate, Supportive Groups - Small, cozy groups where you can laugh, share, and feel safe—no pressure, just honest connection.

Permission to Monkey Around - We mix giggles with deep thinking. Play is just as important as focus in my workshops.

Connection First, Content Second - I believe in building trust before teaching. Questions matter more than answers, and love beats perfection.
