Realistic Pencil and Charcoal Portraits
From live sketching at events to custom portraits at your home, I capture your moments on paper. See how I bring real faces to life with charcoal and graphite.
This is why I do what I do. I sketched this security guard I see every day, and his smile when he saw the portrait was priceless. This is the preethi I find in my art, connecting with people through a simple pencil sketch.
Here is my tribute to the great Kannada poet, Da. Ra. Bendre. This detailed charcoal and pencil portrait shows the level of realism I aim for in every sketch, capturing not just a face, but a personality.
From a blank page to a cherished memory. This is a live portrait I did for a client, capturing his likeness in a realistic black and white sketch. It’s a personal piece of art he can keep forever.
I found this anna at a local tea stall and decided to do a quick live sketch for him. Seeing his surprise and happiness is the best part of my job. My art is for everyone, everywhere.
I also create portraits of couples, perfect for anniversaries, weddings, or as a special gift. Here, I've sketched a classic scene from the movie 'Nanna Preethiya Ramu' featuring D Boss Darshan, showing how I can capture the connection between two people.
From inside my mobile studio, my car, I drew this portrait of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu. This shows my process, using pencil and charcoal to bring his iconic image to life, all while on the move.
This is what a live sketching session looks like. The person sits for a short while, and I draw their portrait on the spot. It's a quick, personal, and unique experience.
About Featured
When you book a session, remember that I work on-the-spot using traditional charcoal and graphite pencils. Whether it is a solo portrait at your home or a live sketching station at your event, I need a well-lit space to ensure the realism is spot on. I do not use digital filters or photo editing; everything is hand-drawn, capturing the authentic likeness of you or your guests.
My Approach to Art
Art for me is a way to connect with people. Whether I am sketching in my mobile studio, a car, or at a venue in Bangalore, my focus remains on the same thing: realism. I do not believe in rushing the process. Every portrait, whether it is for a birthday, anniversary, or a tribute, is done by hand on premium cartridge paper.
What I Offer
- Home Portrait Sessions: I come to your place, set up, and sketch a portrait in 45 to 90 minutes. This is ideal for solo portraits or couple sketches on A4 or A3 sheets.
- Live Event Sketching: If you are hosting a wedding or a corporate event, I can set up a live station. I provide quick, high-quality sketches for your guests, giving them a physical keepsake to take home.
- Custom Commissions: Send me a photo and I will create a detailed charcoal or pencil sketch for you. I can combine people from different photos into one frame.
Logistics and Requirements
- Location: I travel across Bangalore and Ramanagara for both home sessions and event bookings.
- Space: For events, please provide a small table, two chairs, and a well-lit area. This helps me maintain the quality of the drawing.
- Materials: I bring my own charcoal, pencils, and paper. I fix the charcoal drawings with a spray to prevent smudging before handing them over to you.
Why Choose Hand-Drawn?
There is a different kind of warmth in a hand-drawn sketch compared to a digital print. It carries the marks of the artist and the effort of the moment. If you want a piece of art that feels personal and genuine, I am here to sketch it for you.
