The Story Behind SAGA Dog Training
A personal look at my journey, how my dog Bruce became my teacher, and why I believe training should be a joyful bond.
This is my boy, Bruce. He's the face of my academy, SAGA, and my daily inspiration. He taught me that with patience and positivity, any dog can learn and find joy in training.
Meet Fifi, a Wire Fox Terrier with a ton of personality. Working with energetic dogs like her is so rewarding, and finding creative ways to channel that energy is what I love to do.
Welcome to SAGA, my dog training academy. It's a continuation of a journey that started 3 years ago. I strongly believe in teaching dogs through positive reinforcement so they grow up to be happy members of your family.
About Meet the Pack & My Story
I do not use a standard manual because every dog learns at their own pace, just as my boy Bruce taught me. Whether your pup is high-energy or a bit shy, we build a plan that focuses on building trust first. It is not about strict obedience drills, it is about creating a language you and your dog can both understand and enjoy.
My Journey with Bruce
SAGA did not start in a boardroom. It started in my living room with Bruce, my own dog. He is the real boss of the house and the reason I get up every day to do this. Watching him learn taught me that training is not about being the alpha, it is about being a partner.
The SAGA Philosophy
I believe in positive reinforcement only. We do not use fear, intimidation, or scolding. My goal is to help your dog become a happy, well-adjusted family member, not a robot that follows commands blindly.
Why Personalized Training Matters
Every dog is different, and I love working with those unique quirks. Take Fifi, for example. A Wire Fox Terrier with endless energy can be a challenge for many, but for me, it is just a puzzle to solve. We channel that energy into constructive play rather than trying to suppress it.
Whether you are looking to get your puppy off to the right start or need help with a reactive dog, we will work in steps. We start inside the safety of your home and move to the busy world outside only when your dog is ready.
