My Dog Training Journey and Mentors
My training philosophy was born from real life, not textbooks. It started with my own dogs and evolved through years of learning from India's top trainers.
This is Brownie, the dog who started it all for me. I found him on the streets, and his resilience and trust taught me the most valuable lessons about dogs. He is the reason I found my passion and became a trainer.
Meet Jax, my goofy Belgian Malinois. His incredible energy and work ethic constantly push me to be a better trainer. He reminds me that training should also be about having fun and celebrating your dog's unique personality.
A quiet moment with my boy Brownie. The bond we share is a daily reminder of why I am so passionate about helping others connect with their dogs on a deeper level.
A little fun with my two dogs. Here you can see Brownie, our desi bhai, expertly catching a treat while Jax, the clever Belgian Malinois, is still figuring it out. Every dog has their own unique quirks and talents.
This is Jax when he first joined our family. I started as his foster parent and quickly became his permanent one. The journey with him has been a rollercoaster and a huge learning experience.
The look a dog gives you is a language of its own. This connection is what I strive to help every dog owner build. It's all about understanding and mutual respect.
A throwback to 2019 when I first started this incredible journey into dog training. It's been a path of constant learning and growth, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I believe in learning from the best. Here I am with one of my mentors, Shirin Merchant, who laid the foundation for my career. Choosing the right mentors is crucial, and I'm grateful for the guidance I've received.
Receiving a certificate from my mentor at K9 School. Continuous learning is a core part of my professional life, as it allows me to bring the most effective and humane training methods to my clients.
A happy moment with a lovely Labrador during a training session. The joy of connecting with different dogs and helping them and their owners grow together is the best part of my job.
About My Journey and My Teachers
I didn't start my career in a classroom; I started it on the street with Brownie, a stray who taught me more about trust and patience than any book ever could. Since 2018, I have refined that hands-on experience through mentorship under experts like Shirin Merchant and Adnaan K9, blending real-world lessons with structured professional techniques so you get a training approach that actually works at home.
When people ask about my training style, I don't point them to a certificate. I point them to Brownie and Jax. Brownie, my desi bhai, showed me the resilience of street dogs, while Jax keeps me on my toes with his Belgian Malinois energy. This balance of grit and high-energy problem-solving is the foundation of how I work with clients.
My professional journey began in 2018. I was fortunate to learn from mentors who taught me that dog training is 90 percent human training. Shirin Merchant helped me cultivate the patience and composure required to handle difficult behaviors, while Adnaan K9 taught me the value of humbleness and keeping the door to learning open, no matter how much experience you gain.
This background shapes my three core pillars:
- The YES Marker Method: I use clear, consistent marker words to help your dog identify exactly what behaviour earns a reward, speeding up the learning process without confusion.
- Respecting Boundaries: I teach the 5-second petting rule. It sounds simple, but asking for consent changes how a dog perceives their environment, helping to lower anxiety levels significantly.
- Reinforcing Calmness: Most owners reward excitement, which leads to chaos. I teach you to spot and reward calm states, which is a game-changer for hyperactive or anxious dogs.
Whether you are dealing with leash pulling or separation anxiety, my methods are about building a communication loop that you can maintain long after our sessions end.
