About Reactive Dog Training
Why I Do This
Walking a reactive dog can be super draining. I know what it's like to plan walks at weird times just to avoid drama. Chinta mat karo (don't worry), I've been there and I get how tough it feels. My own dog, Bruce, made me realize most "aggression" is just fear shouting out loud.
What I Believe
Your dog isn't being naughty or aggressive for fun. Usually, they're scared and don't know what else to do. I only use positive reinforcement for fearful dogs, never punishment. The goal is to help your dog feel safe out in the world, little by little.
My Approach
- Quick relief first: I'll show you dog trigger management and under threshold techniques so you can have less stressful walks right away.
- Long-term change: We slowly help your dog feel calm around their triggers, like other dogs, people, or cars.
How We Work
- Learn to spot triggers early and create space before your dog gets worked up.
- Use your body or cars as a shield - yes, that's a trick!
- Stand up for your dog. It's bilkul fine to tell people, "Sorry, we're in training."
- Practice parallel walking for reactive dogs in a safe, controlled way.
Building Confidence
Once you and your dog have some basic skills, you can join my group classes in North Bangalore (Yelahanka, Vidyaranyapura). It's a safe space for dogs to learn how to just be chill around others. If your dog has a bite history, we'll stick to one-on-one sessions for now.
Nothing fancy. Just slow, steady progress. Bas, that's the goal.

Gourav Vartalur
My Story
Hey, Gourav here from SAGA. All this started with Bruce, my own doggo - the real boss of the house. He’s why I get up every day and do this. We’ve been through it all, from Delhi to Bangalore by train (chips to mile nahi, but mom’s gajar ka halwa always wins). With Bruce, I learned every dog’s different, no matter the age. SAGA is just me trying to help others find that same bond I have with him, using only positive vibes.
