Success in kabaddi doesn't happen on the mat alone. It starts with the grind—the endurance runs, the agility drills, and the discipline we build on our practice ground every single day.

A glimpse into our daily fitness routine on the mud ground. We use drills like these animal walks and crawls to build core strength and agility.

Teamwork and strategy start before the first whistle. Here our players are in a huddle during a night match, a common sight at our academy.

About The Daily Grind: Fitness & Practice

Real kabaddi training means mastering both surfaces. We alternate between soft-tilled mud for resistance and high-traction mats to simulate tournament conditions. Our sessions are built around raw strength, lung-busting endurance runs, and specific footwork drills to ensure you don't just keep up, but dominate the competition.

Our training regimen at Vasundhara Enclave is not for the faint-hearted. We focus on 'mehnat' (hard work) because talent without conditioning simply does not win medals.

The Daily Routine Our sessions run for 2.5 to 3 hours, six days a week. We start with 3 to 5km runs to build the base stamina every kabaddi player needs. From there, we move to high-intensity interval sprints, tire dragging, and ladder drills to sharpen your reaction time.

Mud vs. Mat Training We train on traditional mud courts to build pure physical power. The resistance of the soft-tilled soil makes your muscles work much harder. We also use standard EVA foam mats to drill high-speed tournament techniques like the Lion Jump and the Dubki. Learning to transition between these surfaces is what gives our players the edge in Gazipur district and state-level competitions.

Conditioning for Competitions Whether you are prepping for SFA championships or local district tournaments, we drill the basics until they become second nature. You will not find shortcuts here—just discipline, intense sparring matches, and a team that pushes you to be better after every single session.
