Academy Highlights & Match Results
A look at the SKCA family in action—from basic grip drills to competitive match wins. See how we turn hard work into results on the ground at PCL Sports Complex.
I believe cricket starts with the fundamentals, just like learning the alphabet. In this video, I am explaining the importance of the top-hand grip to my young players, which is the 'A B C' of batting. Getting these basics right is the first step to building a solid technique.
As a former wicket-keeper for India, I take special interest in coaching our keepers. Here, I am personally guiding one of our talented girl players through specialized wicket-keeping drills to improve her footwork and hand speed. At SKCA, we provide equal opportunities for boys and girls to excel.
This is what happens when hard work meets belief. Young Abhijay hit 31 runs in the final over to win the match, finishing with an unbelievable 151 not out. This is the result-oriented mindset we build at the academy.
Repetition is the key to perfection. Here, our young batsmen are practicing their stance and forward press in a group drill under the watchful eye of Sonu Sir. This structured training builds muscle memory and consistency.
It is a proud moment for the entire SKCA family to see our trainee playing for the Bilaspur Bulls in the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League. My goal is to create a clear pathway for dedicated players to move from our academy to professional cricket.
Agility and sharp reflexes are non-negotiable for a wicket-keeper. This drill, using mini-hurdles, is designed to improve quickness, balance, and the ability to react instantly behind the stumps.
A brilliant performance from our rising star, Mokshi. She took 4 wickets in 4 overs with a sensational spell of accurate bowling. We focus on nurturing every type of talent, whether it is batting, bowling, or all-round skills.
The joy of victory! Our SKCA Leopards team celebrating a hard-fought win against another club. We ensure our players get regular real-match practice to test their skills under pressure and build a winning spirit.
About Featured
At SKCA, we don't just talk about potential; we get our hands dirty on the pitch. Whether it is correcting a top-hand grip for a junior or running agility ladder drills for a keeper, my coaching team and I are on the ground every day ensuring that your 'ABC of Cricket' fundamentals are rock solid before you ever face a competitive ball.
Building the Foundation, One Drill at a Time
Cricket starts with the basics. Just like you learn the alphabet before writing sentences, you need to master your stance, grip, and balance before you can hit a boundary. Our 'ABC of Cricket' methodology is at the heart of everything we do. In these sessions, we focus on repeatable actions—building muscle memory so that when you are under pressure in a match, your technique stays consistent.
More Than Just Practice
We don't believe in endless, aimless net sessions. We believe in purposeful training. That is why we integrate competitive match practice into our weekly schedule. Our internal squads—Tigers, Panthers, and Leopards—compete regularly, and we organize fixtures against external clubs like UUC and GNCC. This gives our students the chance to test their skills in real-world scenarios, face different types of bowlers, and handle the mental pressure of a game situation.
Our Training Focus
- Batting: From mastering the top-hand dominance to perfecting the forward press, we work on shots that get you runs.
- Bowling: Whether you are a pacer or a spinner, we focus on run-up coordination and action consistency.
- Wicket-Keeping: As a former keeper, I pay special attention to this. We use mini-hurdles and reflex drills to ensure our keepers have the quickest hands in the league.
We provide equal opportunities for boys and girls, and our cohorts range from the 'Cubs' (under-6) to senior performance groups. If you are ready to put in the work, we have the pathway for you.
