Outdoor Adventures and Natural Light Portraits
Let’s step away from the studio and into the sunshine. I love using natural light to freeze those messy, joyful, real moments that happen when kids are simply allowed to play and be themselves.

About Outdoor Adventures
The most important part of an outdoor session is the timing. I always suggest planning around the golden hour, which happens just before sunset. The light is soft and flattering, and it is usually the time when children have the most energy to run, explore, and be their natural selves, which is exactly when the best candid shots happen.
While studio sessions offer a controlled, cozy environment, outdoor adventures offer freedom. We can head to a local park in Thane or a scenic spot in Mumbai, and use the landscape as our backdrop.
Why Outdoors?
Nature provides a dynamic canvas that keeps kids engaged. Whether we are setting up a teddy bear picnic on the grass or using a whimsical hot air balloon prop on a rustic path, the environment encourages movement. This movement is where the real magic hides. It captures the way your toddler laughs when they chase a butterfly, or the way you share a quiet moment while walking together.
Practical Tips for a Great Shoot
- Dress Comfortably: Wear coordinated colors, but prioritize comfort. If you can't run and play in what you are wearing, it will show in the photos.
- The Golden Hour: We aim for those last two hours of sunlight. It gives us that warm, glowing effect that makes every photo feel dreamy.
- Bring Snacks: Outdoor sessions involve more energy expenditure. Having a quick snack break can keep everyone happy and relaxed.
I handle the styling and props so you can focus entirely on being present with your family. We will explore, play, and stop to capture the quiet connections in between the action.
