About Traditional Baby Showers (Bale Shastra & Shreemantha)
When I set up these backdrops, I focus on the freshness of the banana leaves and marigold strings. It is not just about looks, it is about creating that calming, traditional atmosphere for the Bale Shastra. I always bring extra floral stems to ensure the arch looks full and dense, because any gaps in the greenery can ruin the photos if you are not careful.
The Shreemantha ceremony is close to my heart because it is all about welcoming a new life. In my years of decorating in Bengaluru, I have learned that traditions matter. I specialize in the authentic Bale Shastra look, using fresh banana leaves, strings of jasmine (mallige), and marigolds to create a vibrant, traditional space.
What to expect from my setup:
- The Greenery: I use real, high-quality banana leaves for the backdrop, pinned securely to ensure they stay fresh throughout your event.
- Floral Archways: I hand-wrap marigold and tuberose garlands to create a thick arch. I do not believe in skimpy decor; if the arch looks thin, the photos will not pop.
- Seating: I provide the traditional silver or gold finish chair, which is the focal point for the mother-to-be, surrounded by brass lamps (kuthu vilakku) to add that warm, divine glow.
If you have a specific space constraint at your home or a banquet hall in Yelahanka or anywhere across Bangalore, tell me beforehand. I have worked in compact living room spaces and large halls, and I adjust the frame dimensions to fit the venue without losing the grandeur of the traditional setup. You handle the guest list and the emotions of the day, and I will handle the rest so you do not have to stress.
