About Naming Ceremonies (Namakarana)
For your cradle ceremony, I don't just set up the backdrop, I personally handle the floral wrapping for the cradle ropes to make sure it looks lush and stays sturdy all day. I always carry extra jasmine and rose garlands because, honestly, the fresh flower scent is what makes the space feel truly festive and traditional.
I believe a naming ceremony, or Namakarana, is one of the most special days for a family. My approach is simple: you tell me your vision, and I handle the rest so you can focus on the pooja and your little one.
Traditional or Themed: Your Choice
Whether you want to go the classic route or try something new, I have experience with both. For traditional setups, I focus heavily on the 'wow' factors: fresh banana leaf backdrops, dense marigold and jasmine garlands, and those brass lamps that give the space a divine, warm glow. If you prefer a modern vibe, I love designing custom themes like the Crescent Moon and Stars, or even a Yashoda-Krishna setup with soft, pastel drapes.
How I Work
I know that cradle decorations need to be safe and secure. While you provide the cradle, I take charge of the styling. My team and I focus on:
- Cradle Wrapping: Dense, secure floral work that won't sag during the ceremony.
- Stage Backdrops: Whether it is a 10ft floral wall or a custom flex print, I ensure the lighting is focused and clean, perfect for all the photos you will take.
- Entrance Decor: Simple torans or a full welcome board setup to greet your guests the moment they walk in.
