About this collection
I spend hours carefully wrapping fresh jasmine and marigold garlands so the mandap smells authentic and looks perfect for your maternity shoot. Whether you choose a classic banana leaf backdrop or a modern pastel arrangement, I ensure the mother-to-be's throne is cushioned and positioned exactly where the lighting hits best for your photos.
Every Sreemantham I set up is personal because I know how much this day means to your family. My work is not just about the final look; it is about the jawabdari (responsibility) of ensuring everything is stable, clean, and auspicious.
Traditional Meets Modern
For traditional setups, I use fresh banana leaves, coconut shells, and hand-woven chatai mats to create a grounded, authentic feel. If you prefer a modern style, I use pastel drapery, neon signs, and floral hoops that look fantastic in photos.
Why Details Matter
- The Throne Chair: The seating for the mother-to-be is always the priority. I ensure the chair is sturdy, comfortable, and fits the aesthetic of the backdrop.
- Floral freshness: I use fresh marigolds, roses, and jasmine. These flowers are sourced locally and arranged on-site, not pre-made, so they stay fresh throughout your ceremony.
- Lighting: I use LED Par cans and fairy lights hidden behind sheer fabric to create a soft, warm glow that avoids harsh shadows on your face during the event.
My Process
I stay on-site during the decoration process, handling the logistics of the backdrop structure and floral placement myself. My team and I take 2 to 3 hours to ensure everything is secure. We use high-quality foam motifs and brass lamps to add that final touch of tradition. If you have specific cultural requests—like a particular way of hanging the thoranam or specific flower combinations—let me know. I am here to make it happen.
Akshay Kumar
I’m Akshay. I don’t just set up a stage; I handle the 'nidde illade iro ratrigalu' (sleepless nights) so you don’t have to. My only goal is that smile on your face when you see your Sreemantham setup.
