Naming Ceremony & Cradle Decoration in Bengaluru
I design traditional and modern naming ceremony setups that center on the cradle, using fresh flowers, thematic cutouts, and classic elements to welcome your baby.
A grand floral archway I created for a naming ceremony held in a large hall. The entrance is decorated with a mix of fresh flowers and greenery, leading to the main event space.
This is the view from inside the hall for the same grand naming ceremony. The ceiling is decorated with thousands of pink flowers and hanging lights, creating an enchanting, forest-like atmosphere.
Another angle of the grand naming ceremony entrance, showing the Ganesha statue and the path leading into the hall. The decor creates a seamless, immersive experience for guests.

A wide view of the seating arrangement for the grand naming ceremony. The decor extends throughout the hall to create a cohesive and celebratory environment for all the guests.
An incredible overhead view of a naming ceremony, with the entire ceiling and stage area covered in a dense arrangement of fresh flowers. This is how I turn a simple hall into a floral wonderland.
An elegant naming ceremony stage with a peacock theme. The decor features a fully decorated cradle, white floral arrangements, and a beautiful peacock statue with a tail made of flowers.
About this collection
Many families struggle to choose between a strictly traditional 'Thottilu' ceremony or a modern themed setup. I can do both. Whether you want fresh jasmine and marigold garlands for a classic look or a custom Krishna theme with vibrant backdrops, I design the arrangement so the cradle remains the central focus.
My approach is to work with the space you have, not just the space you want. For naming ceremonies, I specialize in two main directions: traditional and themed.
Traditional Thottilu Decor
If you prefer a classic approach, I use fresh Rajnigandha, jasmine, and marigold garlands. I focus on the 'Thottilu' (cradle) itself, wrapping the ropes and structure in dense floral work to create a clean, auspicious look. This often includes banana leaves and traditional motifs suitable for the pooja.
Themed Naming Ceremonies
For a modern look, I create custom themes. Popular options include:
- Krishna Theme: Featuring flute and peacock feather cutouts, often with a green-and-red palette.
- Peacock Theme: Utilizing blue and purple floral arrangements to mimic peacock plumage.
- Custom Cutouts: I can incorporate angel wings, name boards, or other personal elements.
What to Expect
My team typically handles the assembly in 3 to 4 hours. We bring the structure, drapery, fresh floral supplies, and focus lighting. Since I do the logistics, setup, and dismantling, you don't have to worry about the preparation on the actual day of the ceremony. I recommend booking at least a few days in advance so I can source the freshest flowers for your specific theme. Whether you are hosting at home or in a larger hall, we can scale the backdrop and floral designs to fit the venue.
