About Behind the Design
We do not start with a rigid style guide. Instead, we begin with your furniture, your collectibles, and the items you have gathered over the years. Before we make any design decisions, we figure out how to weave those existing pieces into a new layout, ensuring your home feels personal rather than like a catalogue.
How We Build a Space
When we take on a project, whether it is a compact apartment or a villa, the goal is to make it feel alive. Our process relies on total transparency and a lot of honest conversation. We create detailed renders before any physical work starts, so you know exactly what the outcome will look like. This removes the guesswork and allows us to focus on the details that matter.
Why Material Selection Matters
We are picky about what goes into a home. Whether it is Italian marble, lime plaster, or premium hardware like the fixtures we source from Fima, we choose materials that last. We believe a home should age gracefully. If a material cannot stand the test of time or daily use, we do not use it.
A Team Effort
Great design is only as good as the execution. We owe much of our success to our trusted team of carpenters, painters, stone layers, and electricians. They are the ones who turn our concepts into reality. Seeing our work featured in publications like GoodHomes is rewarding, but what we value most is that our projects are actually lived in and enjoyed.
Our Process in Brief
- Listening: We talk about your daily rhythm and the memories you want to preserve.
- Planning: We optimize layouts to maximize flow and storage in homes ranging from 900 to 1500 sqft.
- Execution: We oversee the build to ensure the finished home matches the original vision.
