Modern Kitchen and Bathroom Designs in Mumbai
Practical design that makes your daily routine easier, without sacrificing style. I focus on clever storage, durable finishes, and layouts that actually work for your home.
This kitchen is designed for ultimate efficiency, incorporating the laundry area, refrigerator, and pantry storage into one cohesive wall. We used wicker baskets for vegetable storage and a rolling shutter to conceal small appliances, keeping the countertops clutter-free.
A different angle of the cappuccino-colored kitchen, showing the pull-out pantry drawers and sleek, handleless cabinets. The design ensures that every inch of space is utilized for smart and accessible storage.
We gave this kitchen a modern-retro vibe with bold checkered flooring. The muted green cabinets are paired with a textured tile backsplash and black-framed glass overhead units, creating a space with lots of personality and warmth.
This master bathroom is a serene oasis, featuring soft green fluted walls and a unique shower niche with botanical wallpaper. The floating vanity with a reeded glass front and the modern black fixtures add a touch of contemporary elegance.
A closer look at the vanity area in the green bathroom. The rectangular vessel sink has a textured exterior that complements the fluted walls, and the arched mirror softens the clean lines of the space.
This bathroom design is clean and contemporary, with a white floating vanity featuring a fluted texture and gold hardware. The backlit oval mirror provides excellent task lighting while adding a soft, ambient glow to the room.
We created a rustic-modern bathroom with patterned floor and wall tiles that evoke a traditional feel. This is contrasted with a modern black vessel sink, a large backlit mirror, and vintage-style pendant lights for a unique blend of styles.
About this collection
In small Mumbai apartments, the biggest design constraint is balancing storage with breathing room. Whether it's a kitchen with rolling shutters to hide your daily appliances or a bathroom vanity with fluted panelling to mask plumbing, I focus on layouts that remove visual clutter while keeping everything you need within arm’s reach.
Designing for the Mumbai lifestyle means every inch must work hard. My kitchen designs center on the 'golden triangle'—the workflow between the sink, cooktop, and refrigerator—ensuring distances remain between 4 to 9 feet for efficiency. For materials, I use BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood carcasses exclusively because humidity is a reality in our city.
Inside the cabinets, I opt for soft-close hydraulic hinges from brands like Hettich or Ebco because doors that slam are the first sign of a kitchen wearing down. For the aesthetic, I pair durable acrylic or matte laminate finishes with functional touches like pull-out pantry drawers and spice racks that make cooking less of a chore.
For bathrooms, the goal is to create a spa-like retreat without sacrificing maintenance ease. I favor wall-mounted toilets and floating vanities because they keep the floor clear, making the space feel larger and easier to clean. I often use fluted glass or marble finishes to introduce texture. If you are worried about moisture, my designs incorporate proper ventilation and moisture-resistant boards to ensure the vanity unit lasts for years. Tell me about your space—whether you need a full renovation or just a more efficient layout—and we can figure out what works for your daily routine.
