Master core Kabaddi techniques, from precision footwork to powerful tackling, with structured training on turf and mud courts right here in Ulwe.
A glimpse into a professional Kabaddi training session at Risers Academy in Ulwe. We start with dynamic warmups to prepare the body for the intense drills and practice that follow, ensuring every player is ready to perform.
Our Kabaddi batches in Ulwe are in full swing. This video shows our players practicing raiding footwork and defensive stances on an artificial turf ground, adapting their skills to different playing surfaces.
A proud moment for our team from Aarose International School, competing with full force at the DSO Panvel Taluka Kabaddi Championship. This is where training meets the test, building resilience and a winning mindset.
Technique is everything in Kabaddi. I am personally instructing a young player on the nuances of the 'double thigh hold', ensuring she understands the mechanics for a powerful and effective tackle.
About Kabaddi in Action: Drills & Match Practice
We don’t just practice on synthetic turf. You will train on a mix of surfaces—turf for perfecting quick footwork, agility, and speed, and mud courts to build the raw strength, grip, and resilience needed for match-day dominance.
Success on the Kabaddi court is built through a combination of technique and conditioning. My training method focuses on the fundamentals first. We break down the game into precise movements—whether it is mastering the 'cant' (breathing), perfecting the chain defense, or executing a clean double thigh hold.
Every session is structured to move you forward:
- Surface-Specific Training: We utilize artificial turf for high-speed agility drills and lane-chasing mechanics. For game simulation, we transition to mud or clay surfaces to mimic the conditions of competitive tournaments, building the necessary leg strength and balance.
- Tactical Awareness: Beyond strength, Kabaddi is a game of strategy. We hold regular match simulations—including our Sunday Kabaddi Club bouts—where we analyze raiding angles, defensive gaps, and situational awareness under pressure.
- Competitive Readiness: For those aiming for the DSO, District, or State level, my sessions include specific prep for selection trials. We focus on stamina, injury prevention through proper warm-ups, and the mental discipline required to stay calm when the game is on the line.
As I always say, 'Aata nahi tar punha kadhi nahi' (If not now, then never). Whether you are a beginner learning your first tackle or an athlete preparing for selection trials, we provide the environment to turn that potential into performance.
