About Behind the Scenes: My Happy Place
People often ask how I manage to get such consistent eye contact from busy toddlers. The secret isn't fancy equipment—it is usually a phone with their favorite nursery rhyme and a lot of patience. In my studio, we prioritize your baby's comfort over strict, uncomfortable posing, which is why I keep the setup minimalist to ensure their personality remains the star of the frame.
My studio in Chembur is designed to be a safe, calm bubble where your baby feels right at home. I know that for many parents, the biggest worry is whether their little one will cooperate. This is why I build extra time into every session, allowing for those necessary feeding and changing breaks that keep babies happy and relaxed.
When we do a shoot, you will often hear me saying, 'Dekh idhar dekh!' or 'Ae haalo!' to get that spark of attention. I believe that forced smiles never look as good as the genuine ones I catch when we are just playing around. Whether it is a wrapped newborn session where I carefully arrange tiny fingers and toes or a milestone shoot for a six-month-old, my approach stays the same: focus on the child, not the props.
I prefer using fewer props because it creates a timeless, clean look that does not distract from your baby's features. This way, your photos do not look dated a few years down the line. I always welcome parents and siblings to jump into the frame as well, because those connection shots are the ones you will cherish the most. If you are curious about how we create these setups—or if you have a specific theme in mind—let's chat.
Resham Shah Photography
I am Resham, and my studio in Chembur is where I get to do my favorite thing: hang out with little ones. I do not believe in stiff poses or rigid timelines; I would rather wait for that natural giggle or sleepy yawn. When you come here, it is just us making memories, with plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.
