You often ask me, 'What if my baby won't cooperate?' My answer is always the same: we do not force them. Whether we are in my Santacruz studio or at your home, we work on your baby’s rhythm. If they need to feed, we pause. If they need a cuddle, we stop. By letting them lead the session, we capture the real expressions—the sleepy smiles and curious gazes—that matter most, rather than just posed portraits.
The Reality of Baby-Led Photography
Many parents worry that a photoshoot will be stressful or chaotic. My approach turns that around. I do not believe in rigid schedules because little ones do not work that way. A calm, unhurried environment is the secret to getting natural photos.
Home vs. Studio
Whether you choose a studio session in Santacruz or an at-home shoot, the focus remains on your baby's comfort. For home sessions, I bring my own professional lighting and setups, so you do not need to worry about clearing a massive space. An 8x8 feet area near a natural light source is all we need to create a professional setup in your living room or nursery.
Why the 'Mess' Matters
You might see a cake smash photo and think about the cleanup, but that mess is where the joy is. It is the genuine reaction to a new texture, a new taste, and a new experience. I handle all the post-smash cleanup, so you just focus on the smiles.
Safety Above All
Especially with newborns, safety is my non-negotiable priority. From sanitized props to heated setups for warmth, every detail is considered to keep your baby secure and comfortable throughout the session.
