About Architectural Design
How We Think About Design
I don’t just see land as empty space to fill. My process starts with reading the grounds - literally listening to the earth, the stories hiding in the soil, the trees that have been here longer than us. In Namma Bengaluru, I wondered, why just a garden city? Why not a park city? That’s the seed for everything I do.
All-in-One, Not Bits and Pieces
For me, architecture, interiors, and landscape aren’t separate jobs. They blend. I try to make the boundary between inside and outside fade out. Imagine walking through your living room and not noticing when you’ve stepped into the garden - that’s the goal.
Projects That Tell Stories
- For art spaces or offices, I lean into simple geometry and exposed materials, letting natural light do its thing.
- In community housing (like one in Mysuru), I focus on shared courtyards, terrace yoga spots, and open corridors that let people bump into each other, casually hang out, and form a community.
- With heritage sites, like the old Bangalore Club, I work with local materials like Sadharhalli stone and heritage tiles, so new additions don’t stick out like a sore thumb.
What Matters Most
Above all, I want spaces to feel alive and a little playful. If you’re after ecological architecture design or want your home to truly connect with nature and people, that’s what I care about.

My Story
We’re Reading Grounds, based in Namma Bengaluru. Our thing? We 'read' the land, its stories, and try to make places where people can slow down, reflect, and gather. Curiosity keeps us moving—like that time we wondered why BBMP parks felt ignored, dug deeper, and ended up reshaping one (award came as a bonus, ha!). We’re big on community, so our 'Reading Series' is all about bringing folks together. Little efforts, big changes. That’s us.
My Work
Landscape & Ecological Design - We do nature-led landscape design, ecological planning, and masterplanning for parks, homes, and retail spaces.
Spaces for People & Community - We shape flexible public spaces where users set the vibe—think classic Indian 'Maidan' style.
Hands-on, Site-Specific Approach - We get into the mud, use local leaves for stepping stones, and let the site guide each project.
Sensory Garden Experience - We design gardens you can see, smell, and feel—crunchy earth, fragrant air, colours everywhere.
