Real Match Practice on the Maidaan
All your training leads here. See how my students take their skills from the nets to real match situations on the maidaan.
It all depends on your practice, confidence, and mindset. I teach my players to get set first, build confidence, and then try for the big shots.
The sound of a perfect shot and the feeling of seeing your hard work pay off in a match. This is what we train for. Shabaash!
A batsman waiting for his turn, padded up and focused. The game is played in the mind even before you step on the field.
A batsman walking out to the crease, ready to take charge. This walk is about confidence and self-belief.
For a cricketer, the field is the only therapy they need. A player running between the wickets during a competitive match.
This little part of my life. A batsman playing a powerful shot during a game, a moment of pure focus.
Every cricketer can relate. The feeling of being out on the field, bat in hand, is a story in itself.
A classic on-drive being played during a match. This is the result of hours of practice in the nets.
From the dugout to the middle, every moment is part of the game. Players preparing and others in action on the field.
A wide view of a match in progress. Players in their positions, ready for the next ball.
About Game Day Action
A lot of academies just focus on net practice, but that is only half the battle. Here, we actually get out to Ganpat Sheth Naik Maidaan. You need to face match pressure, deal with real-time field placements, and learn to rotate the strike when the situation demands it. Nets build your technique, but the game builds your character.
Matches at Raut Cricket Academy are not just about winning or losing. We structure these game days to test everything you have learned. Whether it is leather ball training or synthetic practice, the goal is to make you match-ready. I have seen too many talented players freeze up during selection because they never played in actual match conditions.
When you join my weekend batches, you are not just standing in a line waiting for your turn. You are learning to assess the bowler, read the field, and keep your composure—what I call the cricketer's mindset. For students aiming for the MCA club selection pathway, these match sessions are crucial. It is where I can spot your flaws in pressure situations and guide you to fix them.
We provide the red leather balls, stumps, and cones, but you need to be prepared with your own kit. If you are a serious player, aged 6 and up, this is where you stop timepassing and start building your career. The maidaan is my therapy, and if you are ready to put in the six months of consistent hard work, I will ensure you get the guidance to move forward.
Raut Cricket Academy
I am here to build cricketers, not just players. I treat the maidaan like therapy because it is where I learned to rise from my own setbacks, and I want you to find that same strength in your game.
