Bowling Fundamentals and Action Correction
We build bowlers, not just ballers. Whether you bowl pace or spin, we focus on building a repeatable run-up, strong knee drive, and consistent rhythm for every ball.
Breaking down the basics of a bowling action. I am showing a young player how to use his knee drive and land correctly to build a strong, repeatable action.
Working on a pace bowler's run up and follow through. We use markers to ensure the run up is straight and the follow through is completed to avoid injury.
Here we are working on a bowler's run up. A smooth and consistent approach to the crease is essential for rhythm and control.
The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you. Here, a young bowler works on his action, building muscle memory.
About Bowling Fundamentals
Most bowlers rush the crease without a plan. In our sessions, we specifically train you to land with a stable knee break, not a locked leg. It is the only way to generate power without putting your body at risk of injury.
Cricket is a game of rhythm. If your approach to the crease is shaky, your ball delivery will never be consistent. We break down the bowling action into small, manageable parts so you can build muscle memory that holds up even when you are tired.
Why Technique Matters
We do not believe in random bowling. Every session starts with correcting your alignment. If your run-up is crooked, your release point will always be off. We use markers on the pitch to ensure your approach is straight, repeatable, and efficient. By focusing on the basics—like the initial movement and the loading phase—we help you add pace and accuracy naturally.
Our Training Focus
- Knee Drive & Landing: Proper landing prevents injury and provides a solid base for the follow-through.
- The Loading Phase: We work on keeping the arm high and aligned to get the ball moving.
- Rhythm & Run-up: A smooth, consistent stride is where your bowling pace starts. We train this until it becomes second nature.
We train in both red soil outdoor wickets and covered nets, depending on the season. This ensures your practice does not stop when the conditions get tough. If you are serious about your game and want to move from synthetic balls to leather, our drills will prepare you for the transition. We teach you to back yourself, keep your eye on the ball, and treat every practice session like a match-day challenge.
