Music is incomplete for me without poetry. Whether it is a romantic ghazal or a lively sangeet, I weave shayari into my sets to share stories, build connections, and make every performance feel like a personal conversation.

Arz Kiya Hai. Sometimes, poetry says what music can't. I love sharing these moments of shayari during my shows to create a deeper, more personal connection with the audience.

'Toh arz kiya hai...' A candle-lit, intimate setting for some late-night thoughts on love and life, expressed through poetry.

Arz Kiya Hai... a little fun shayari about friends and promises, shared with a massive, smiling audience.

'Tere jaisa koi mila hi nahi, kaise milta, koi tha hi nahi.' A bit of romantic shayari to charm the audience during a live show.

'Dushmann ko bhi tumse pyaar ho jaye.' A shayari about the power of friendship, because my friends and my audience are my biggest strength.

'Gaur farmaiyega...' A moment to share some deep thoughts on destiny and success through a poignant shayari.

'Munafa kam hai par guzara ho hi jaata hai.' A late-night shayari session, reflecting on the business of memories.

'Aasmaan pe chaand poora tha magar aadha laga.' A beautiful ghazal-like shayari about the beloved's beauty.

When you say 'Saiyaan' with all your heart. A moment of poetic expression during a live performance.

'Tere jaise yaar hai na!' Another dedication to friendship, because that's one of the most important relationships in life.

About Arz Kiya Hai: A Touch of Poetry

Many clients worry if poetry will slow down the energy at their wedding, but I have found the opposite. When I recite a couplet between songs, it pulls the audience in, creating a moment of stillness before the next high-tempo track. It turns a standard set into an interactive mehfil where guests feel part of the story, not just spectators.

I believe that music is ibaadat (prayer). For me, the shayari is where the conversation really happens. I do not just stand on stage and sing; I perform. Whether I am playing at a private mehfil or a grand Sangeet night, I use poetry as a thread to connect my songs to your emotions.

If we are playing a soulful Sufi set, I might recite a classic couplet to set the mood. If it is a high-energy Bollywood night, I pick fun or witty shayari to keep the laughter going before we launch into a bhangra beat. It is about reading the room. If the crowd is feeling nostalgic, we dive into deep, poetic ghazals. If they are ready to dance, I drop a line to get everyone smiling.

This approach transforms the event from a standard show into a shared experience. I perform with my band—keyboards, guitar, and percussion—and we always ensure my voice and the poetry are crystal clear. People often ask if this works for corporate events or festivals; the answer is yes. Even in a massive college fest, a well-timed couplet can bring a sea of people to a respectful, attentive silence, which makes the next beat drop hit that much harder. Every performance is an opportunity to bridge the gap between artist and guest through the power of words and melody.

I am Raman Kapoor, and my life is my music. My Ustaad ji taught me that to be a good singer, you must be a good storyteller first. My style, *Andaaz-e-Raman*, is all about bringing that storytelling to your stage through a mix of poetry, Sufi, and Bollywood.
